14. ArtScience at Home – ABCs of Being Bold with Colours

We are aware that it is not necessary to colour within the lines, but did you know that colouring can help you uncover your emotions within? In this episode, presented as part of Art of Being Calm series, we will explore how different tints can be used as a meditating tool to show our true colours!

About Art of Being Calm Series:

Amongst the many uncertainties in the current hectic society, it is always important to find a little joy, laughter, and that bit of sparkle in our eyes. Art of Being Calm is a new programme that focuses on the ABCs of finding serenity. Join us for a series of hands-on activities to engaging discussions and explore how art tools can help us to be at peace with ourselves!

15. Human-wildlife Encounters: Wild Boars in Our City in Nature [FREE]

Join Bryan Lim and Thaddaeus Cheng from NParks‘ Wildlife Management team in our third human-wildlife encounters webinar. Both speakers are actively involved in integrative science-based management approaches to mitigate human-boar interactions in Singapore. Together, they will share more about wild boars, their ethology and distribution, and practical tips on what to do when we encounter wild boars in Our City in Nature.

16. Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom

Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom marks the artist’s inaugural major garden exhibition in Asia, and is the first exhibition of its scale to be hosted at Gardens by the Bay. Featuring 25 of the artist’s large-scale installations, as well as over 80 pedestal sculptures and two-dimensional works such as Glass-on-Glass paintings, the works are curated and set within the verdant tropical setting of Singapore’s iconic horticultural attraction.

18. Once Upon A Time On The Orient Express

Once Upon A Time On The Orient Express offers visitors a chance to embark on a fascinating journey through the history of the Orient Express, reliving the experience of travellers who boarded the train more than 100 years ago. Spanning over 2,000sqm, the pop-up attraction will feature two original train carriages classified as National Treasures of France, and a 158-year-old locomotive shipped from France to Singapore, along with 300 heritage items such as uniforms, shields, a pullman car, affiches, Louis Vuitton original luggage, priceless porcelain and more.

The Changi Chapel and Museum will be reopening its doors to the public on 19 May. The revamped commemorative site features new content and artefacts presented in an intimate and engaging format, highlighting the personal stories, courage and resilience of the prisoners of war and civilians who were interned in Changi prison camp during the Japanese Occupation.
