In conjunction with National Family Festival organised by Families for Life, Town Square @ OTH is transformed into a vibrant, interactive playground of oversized kueh-inspired installations, live performances, games, and community-led experiences. From playful physical installations and digital challenges to storytelling, music, and cultural showcases, the festival invites residents of all ages to explore, move, and connect.

OTH Festival 2026 is a celebration of shared identity, where food, play, and culture come together to strengthen community bonds and spark meaningful moments across generations.

Overview of Programmes/ Initiatives at OTH Festival 2026

Kueh Gym

Step into a larger-than-life community playground where Singapore’s most beloved kueh are reimagined as playful, oversized fitness challenges.

This immersive installation invites visitors to explore through a whimsical landscape of kueh-inspired structures, from tutu-shaped barbells and murukku climbing rings to “snack pits”, kueh lapis rainbow steps, and a towering inflatable Ang Ku Kueh centerpiece.

More than just play, Kueh Gym is a celebration of movement and shared food heritage, where community members come together to laugh, move, and rediscover cultural icons in unexpected ways.

Kueh on the Run (Family Digital Game Hunt)

Turn the festival into a lively “kueh trail” adventure with this mobile web-based game (no download required), supported by MSF, NLB, and Tampines Mall, Lorong Tua Pek Kong Temple and Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple.

Families and friends team up to take on fun, bite-sized challenges across the festival grounds, unlocking and collecting digital kueh. Each stop becomes a playful mission, encouraging exploration, teamwork, and discovery throughout the event. The first 2,000 participants per day will receive exclusive giveaways.

JKids will provide 9,000 complimentary ride coupons for low-income families and residents, while Yeo’s will provide complimentary drinks for participants, adding to the festive experience.

Community Wall

In partnership with MSF, the Community Wall invites residents to share their favourite recipes, cherished memories, and personal heritage stories, bringing Tampines’ diverse cultures to life in one shared space.

Over time, the wall grows into a vibrant, living tapestry of voices and traditions, connecting generations and celebrating the rich roots that shape our community identity.

Celebrate Father’s Day with a fresh new look!

As part of Father’s Day, OTH is offering 60 complimentary haircuts for fathers as a gesture of appreciation and care, in partnership with Ohana Salon. Please note that 10 slots will be allocated to MSF ComLink families and Enabling Services Hub.

Kueh on the Run

Get ready for a laugh-out-loud, heartwarming adventure as Chef Dorothy goes on a frantic chase to find her runaway kueh – Ang Ku Kueh, and Kueh Lapis – each with a mind (and personality) of their own!

This 30-minute interactive comedy bursts with energy, bringing larger-than-life characters into the crowd as the kueh escape the kitchen and discover the world beyond. Expect humour, surprise interactions, and plenty of audience moments as chaos unfolds across the stage and into the audience.

As the story races on, the kueh learn something deeper: that being different is what makes them special, and together, they complete the perfect “platter” of community and belonging.

Sangam by Bornfire Circus (Singapore) – Aerial Open Stage

Get ready for a breathtaking spectacle as a 7-metre aerial rig transforms the sky above Town Square @ OTH into a high-flying stage of wonder.

Dazzling aerial silks, gravity-defying acrobatics, and roaming circus acts, including jugglers and unicyclists weaving through the crowd, come together in a vibrant performance that fills every corner of the festival with energy and excitement.

Singa Drum Gaia Fiesta, led by Nadi Singapura

A high-energy, multicultural drumming spectacle bringing together 250 youth performers from schools, ensembles, and community groups in one powerful rhythm-driven celebration.

Experience the pulse of Singapore as Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Western percussion traditions collide and converge on stage, building into a dynamic, high-impact performance that celebrates unity through rhythm.

A world premiere commissioned work, this performance unites artists across generations and cultural backgrounds in a bold new percussion composition created specially for the festival.

Sing Kueh-ther, led by The VIBE Choir Singapore

Turn up the volume and join the fun at Sing Kueh-ther, a mass sing-along that transforms strangers into neighbours, and neighbours into one big singing community. Just show up, let go, and sing your heart out!

This uplifting session brings everyone together in a shared moment of music, laughter, and connection. Expect an atmosphere that is warm and energetic, where the whole community comes alive as one.

The Full Platter Crew

A high-energy grand finale that brings the festival to a roaring close with a vibrant celebration of multicultural rhythm, movement, and youth-led creativity.

Kueh-Ra Rosa by Qara Rosa

Expect a powerful showcase featuring Brazilian percussion by Qara Rosa, filling the space with infectious, pulse-raising beats that get everyone moving.

Aneka Ragam! by Kelana Purba

This dikir barat performance serves up a delightful spread of song, laughter, and bold, synchronised movement, celebrating the colours and characters of traditional kueh through the irresistible energy and antics of live performance.

Led by youth and shaped by cultural expression, this finale transforms the stage into a celebration of heritage, where every beat, step, and story comes together in an unforgettable shared experience.
