A Christmas Story by World Christmas Market

STEP INTO A FESTIVE FAIRYTALE AT A CHRISTMAS STORY BY WORLD CHRISTMAS MARKET

World Christmas Market 2026

Celebrate the season as Fort Canning Park and METT Hotel Singapore host an immersive festive wonderland featuring a 38-foot real Christmas tree, giant nutcrackers, illuminated reindeer, and live music from 10 December 2026 to 3 January 2027

This December, a new festive chapter unfolds with the launch of A Christmas Story by World Christmas Market, bringing together the best of the season in one of Singapore’s most atmospheric settings. From 10 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, METT Hotel’s grounds and the lush surroundings of Fort Canning Park will come alive with a vibrant programme of festive shopping, dining, music and entertainment, with complimentary entry for all. Created by DareDreamer, the team behind World Christmas Market, the festival brings a magical new Christmas experience to Singapore and is set to be the city’s most beautifully curated festive address.

THREE CHAPTERS, ONE FESTIVE EXPERIENCE

World Christmas Market Fort Canning

A Christmas Story unfolds across three spaces, beginning with The Story Terrace which sets the scene with a curated mix of festive shopping, gifting and creative experiences, including hands-on workshops. The Long Table, where strangers and friends alike gather to share a meal, will also be held there.

The Piazza, the vibrant heart of the celebrations, is the next chapter. Here, a spectacular 38-foot real Christmas tree takes centre stage, surrounded by beautifully decorated trees throughout the grounds. Completing the experience is The Merry Grounds, a lively food and festive market bringing together seasonal flavours, festive drinks and opportunities to eat, drink and celebrate.

Throughout the grounds, larger-than-life festive installations, from giant nutcrackers to illuminated reindeer, create striking visual moments and picture-perfect backdrops. A soundtrack of Christmas classics and contemporary festive favourites sets the mood, complemented by live entertainment led by a 42-piece full orchestra, which will be performing on opening weekend. Brass sextets and saxophone quartets will perform on other scheduled dates, alongside choirs and musical performances throughout the season.

GOOD TIMES, GREAT COMPANY

World Christmas Market

A Christmas Story will offer the ultimate festive destination for friends, families and the whole community to connect and celebrate the season in the heart of the city with complimentary entry, pet-friendly spaces, entertainment and delicious dining options.

“Christmas is at its best when it’s shared, and we wanted to build a place that makes you feel it the moment you walk in,” said Gracelyn Lin, Co-Founder, DareDreamer. “From a 38-foot real Christmas tree that stops you in your tracks, to nutcrackers standing guard and reindeer glowing across the lawns, every detail is created so that this first Christmas at Fort Canning is one Singapore remembers. We’re not claiming a tradition. We’re hoping to earn one. So, bring the people you love and add this to your list of Christmas traditions.”

Tomas Stoila, Managing Director Sunset Hospitality Group Singapore, adds, “Christmas is a time for bringing people together and we are delighted to open our grounds for a truly special festive experience. Surrounded by the greenery of Fort Canning Park, METT Hotel will become a vibrant destination for festive dining, entertainment and shared celebrations. As our iconic building marks its 100th anniversary, this occasion feels particularly meaningful and we look forward to welcoming both our guests and the whole community to celebrate the season with us.”
