Celebrate orchids in bloom with rare varieties at Singapore Orchid Show and Indonesian-themed Orchid Extravaganza

Singapore Orchid Show

The Singapore Orchid Show, organised in partnership with Orchid Society of South East Asia, will feature rare, unique and show-winning orchid varieties grown by hobbyists and industry partners. These orchids, including warm and cool-growing species and hybrids found in different regions around the world, will be on display at the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay. Entries were received across eight sections¹ and 52 competition classes.

Also held at the Flower Dome and in conjunction with SGF 2026, Orchid Extravaganza: Rhythm of the Rainforest spotlights the rich heritage and diversity of Indonesia. Featuring more than 7,000 orchids, including native species and varieties, the display is presented in partnership with the Ministry of Creative Economy of Indonesia and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore.

Striking handwoven artworks and larger-than-life sculptural pieces, crafted using the traditional anyaman weaving technique with coconut leaves and bamboo, are showcased alongside architectural recreations of traditional Sumbanese houses with their soaring roofs and multi-tiered Balinese Meru towers. Traditional motifs inspired by Toba Batak patterns and intricate ikat designs are woven throughout the display, reflecting the stories, beliefs and craftsmanship of the Indonesian archipelago.
