Latest: In view of the evolving Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) situation, and in line with the Ministry of Health’s latest advisory on events, the National Parks Board (NParks) and the Orchid Society of South East Asia (OSSEA) have decided to cancel SGF Orchid Show 2020.
Taking place from 1 to 8 March 2020 at the National Orchid Garden, Singapore Botanic Gardens, the SGF Orchid Show will showcase a wonderland of orchid displays, with varieties of award-winning and heritage orchids.
An offshoot of the flagship Singapore Garden Festival, the SGF Orchid Show is a partnership between National Parks Board (NParks) and the Orchid Society of South East Asia (OSSEA).
With orchids closely linked to Singapore’s national identity and the nation’s pioneering role in orchid hybridisation resulting to more than 630 orchid hybrids to date, the SGF Orchid Show brings to the audience an opportunity to spur more appreciation for orchids and greening.
Key highlights include competitive landscape displays at Orchid Plaza (next to the entrance of the National Orchid Garden), created by local and international orchid growers. There will also be displays designed by NParks, OSSEA, Singapore Orchid Growers Association and Singapore Gardening Society. Hundreds of the region’s best orchid plants from around the region will be showcased at the National Orchid Garden.
Visitors can look forward to talks and guided tours as well as a marketplace featuring a myriad of plant, gardening, and landscape-related products.
Suitable for everyone across all ages. Entry to the SGF Orchid Show is free for Singapore residents, while international visitors can purchase tickets at the entrance of the National Orchid Garden, Singapore Botanic Gardens.
