Things to Do On Singapore’s National Day Weekend 5 & 6 and National Day 9 August 2023
1. RSAF Island Flypast Routes on 9 August 2023!
Fly Our Flag:
Spot our State Flag being carried by our Chinook Helicopter and escorted by a pair of Apache helicopters, making their way through the heartlands via two routes (Eastern & Western) from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
RSAF55 Island Flypast
Commemorating RSAF55, an RSAF55 Island Flypast featuring the A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport with six F-16D+ & three F-15SG fighter aircraft will make their way through the heartlands from 5.40pm – 6.10pm.
Take part in community activities at five heartland locations across Singapore: Bedok Stadium, Jurong West Stadium, Toa Payoh Stadium, Woodlands Stadium (5 and 6 Aug) and Our Tampines Hub (6 Aug). You can also catch the NDP fireworks display at all five sites on 9 Aug, and catch the island flypast across Singapore.

3. 17th National Day Sing-along
Come join us as we celebrate Singapore’s 58th year of independence at the 17th National Day Sing-Along. This year’s programme will be carried out under three thematic segments namely the history of Singapore (accompanied by sand painting), xinyao tunes unique to Singapore and lastly, uplifting songs to end on a high note.

5. Orchid Extravaganza: Orchids of the East Tropics
This year’s Orchid Extravaganza, presented in partnership with the embassies of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, uncovers the allure of orchids in the east tropics that have captivated early botanical explorers and plant hunters. Each country is represented by orchids cultivated from species native to their land, as well as a recreation of their traditional house, cultural handicrafts and artefacts.

This year’s festival reprises popular immersive tours showcasing Singapore’s living community heritage, such as old-school market vendors and the stories beyond the wares they trade in.
