1. Heritage and Culture Light Up the City for Singapore’s 56th Birthday

Bras Basah.Bugis Precinct National Day Light-up The Bras Basah.Bugis precinct celebrates National Day in red and white lights, to rally Singaporeans to be united through culture.

Seven historically and culturally significant buildings in the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct will be lit in the colours of the National Flag to inspire and encourage Singaporeans, and to represent the nation’s shared values and achievements.

2. ACM Celebrates: National Day

National Day ACM Medley with Kenchana Jazz

Discover objects in an online trail that speak of connections to Singapore’s history and enjoy listening to a medley of well-loved National Day tunes. Be inspired by the lush greenery around ACM and in our garden city. Share a photo of your pet plant or a favourite plant or flower found in Singapore. For a quintessential taste of home, download a recipe card and try making your own kaya spread.

3. National Day Monumental Hunt (A mini digital game)

Our National Day Parades were typically held at the Padang since our first parade in 1966. The site continued to host the annual parades till 1975, after which the locations were rotated between decentralized sites, National Stadium, Marina Bay Floating Platform and the Padang. Since 1995, the parade has been held at the Padang every five years.

This mini game features a National Day Parade at the Padang with its surrounding monuments. Find all the items in this monumental hunt and stand to win attractive prizes!

4. National Day Parade 2021

NDP Rehearsal 2021 F15 Bombburst

The National Day Parade (NDP) this year will be postponed to 21 August 2021 after the end of the latest Covid-19 restrictions. A ceremonial parade will be held on Aug 9 instead to mark Singapore’s 56th year since independence. It will be similar to the one held last year at the Padang, but will take place at the Marina Bay floating platform, added Mindef.

7. National Day Activities at Science Centre

From 6 to 9 August 2021, the Singapore spirit is set to come to life at the Centre with its lineup of National Day Activities. Lion city boys and girls will get to join Science educators on activities themed around our sunny island, including a gallery hunt filled with facts on Singapore and even a little creative design workshop.
