Christmas in the City at Suntec City presents an extravagant series of activities, including amusement rides, carnival games, NFT digital art exhibition, and live music from now to 25 December 2022

As our bustling metropolis kicks off the festivities, Suntec City lights up with an array of neon light installations across the Sky Garden on level 3 from now to 25 December 2022. Organised by The Show Master – a new blockbuster entertainment arm by Uncle Ringo – Christmas In The City at Suntec City will not only be featuring Uncle Ringo’s signature definition of fun with amusement rides and carnival games, visitors can also view the latest in NFT art and participate in digital art workshops and community dialogues while grooving to live musical performances featuring local artistes. This event is also landmarked by a massive christmas tree that stands at an impressive height of 15 metres, making it the perfect landmark and photo spot for visitors.

Visit Suntec Plaza – located at the outdoor area between Tower 1 & 5 on Level 1 of Suntec City – and find yourself immersed in a carnival wonderland with nostalgic rides like Meteorite, Dog Ship and the Grand Carousel. To ramp up the festive mood, Uncle Ringo also introduced new Christmas-themed games including Presents Smash, Santa’s Milk Churn and Snowball Toss where you can demonstrate your perfect aim as you lob off different targets.

Arts In The City

NFT Exhibit and Digital Art Workshops

In recognising the potential enjoyment and fun that NFTs could bring to both online and offline communities, The Show Master is introducing an NFT Exhibit at Suntec City’s Atrium.

On display from 11am to 9pm daily, renowned projects such as Prime Planet, Imaginary Ones, Memotics and Y2123 by Layer C will be showcased at Suntec City’s Atrium (Tower 1 & 2). Project merchandise like caps and hoodies of selected projects are also available for purchase at the event.

What’s more, the NFT community will be thrilled to hear that a community space has been set up for fans and members to network and keep up-to-date with the latest in the community.

On the afternoon of 17 December, 2pm to 4pm, grab the opportunity to interact with the founders of the four featured projects – Alan Kueh, founder of Memotics, David Lee, founder of Imaginary Ones, Jack Ong, founder of Prime Planet, and Keith Teo, founder of Y2123 and Layer C – over a fireside chat and discover their inspirations and creative thoughts when building each ingenious creation.

The session will see speakers tackling hot topics including the futur3 of digital art, NFT and blockchain utilisation, the omni-channel integration from a Web2 to Web3 space, the concept of harnessing metaverse for different brands, as they share some of the meaningful community-led projects they’ve been working on. For fresh and inquisitive minds who are trying to grasp the idea of the Web3 space, this fireside chat session is the perfect set up for you to take your first stride into the metaverse.

Digital Art Workshop

From today to 25 December, members of the public can take part in workshops which will run daily at various intervals across the day and learn how to create their very own digital art under the guidance of a local creative. At the live printing station, participants can also bring their creation to life by printing them onto plain tees, tote bags, and badges.

There will be multiple sessions scheduled throughout the week, with weekday sessions timed at 1.30pm and 6.30pm, and weekend sessions timed at 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm, 6.30pm. Music In The City

Nothing brings the festive mood to life better than live beats. From now through 24 December, sing along to Christmas carols and the latest hits with our very own local talents – Jeff Ng, Jason Yu, Sheng Li and The Staircase Duo as they captivate the crowd with their trusty guitars and their soothing vocals. Set to perform every Friday and Saturday, walk over to Suntec Plaza after a hearty meal at Olivia & Co and catch this talented line-up of vocalists as they take turns to showcase their heavenly vocals in half-an-hour intervals.

The Great Christmas Village 2022 @ Ngee Ann City

Aside from Christmas In The City at Suntec City, The Show Master will be hosting another event of entertainment at Orchard Road simultaneously – The Great Christmas Village.

At last, The Great Christmas Village returns after a two-year hiatus. Located at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, the festivities move into high gear from now to 2 January 2023 with Uncle Ringo’s much adored amusement rides, workshops, live music and festive food offerings.

Leading up to the launch of the village, from 12 November, pop-up activations from brands such as Gucci Beauty and Braun Buffel will be setting the festive mood in motion along the pedestrian walkway in front of ION Orchard to Mandarin Gallery.

Amusement Rides and Games

For an action-packed night, indulge yourselves with Uncle Ringo’s newest rides and attractions, featuring Singapore’s first-ever all-white carousel, an inflatable bouncer reimagined from a NFT design, and countless other fun-filled rides including Samba Balloon, Red Swing, Pirate Ship, Trackless Train and Teacups to keep the family entertained.

Live Performances and Art Workshops

Enhancing the festive mood with chill, acoustic beats, a remarkable line up featuring multiple local artistes such as Jack & Rai, Cold Cut Duo, Daniel Sid and Fyrdaus Macbeth will be performing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
