Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents enjoy FREE ENTRY to Science Centre Singapore from 8 to 10 August, with a robot hawker science show, Quby’s first-ever festival appearance and scientists who turn handphones into microscopes

SG Science Fest 2026

SG Science Fest 2026 officially opens today at Science Centre Singapore, bringing three days of ocean-inspired science experiences across the National Day weekend with free admission for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.

Guests can solve a mysterious shipwreck, enjoy live science shows, cool off with outdoor waterplay, explore hands-on marine science activities and meet Quby as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Built around the theme of the ocean, this year’s festival combines science, storytelling and play to encourage discovery while highlighting the important role science plays in understanding and protecting our natural world.

SG Science Fest

“SG Science Fest is about sparking curiosity by bringing science to life through experiences that are immersive, interactive and fun. We are especially excited to bring the public closer to Singapore’s scientific community through opportunities to meet scientists, explore new ideas and discover how science shapes our everyday lives. Together with our partners, we hope to inspire people of all ages to keep asking questions, exploring and discovering,” said Ms. Tham Mun See, Chief Executive, Science Centre Board.

Science made possible through partnerships

SG Science Fest 2026 is made possible through the support of partners and sponsors including Applied Materials, Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS) and Yeo’s, whose contributions help make science engaging and accessible for all.

To mark SNAS’ 50th anniversary, scientists from its constituent societies will host hands-on activities and talks at the Meet a Scientist zone, giving festival guests the opportunity to explore science alongside the scientific community. This zone will feature booths, demonstrations and daily workshops spanning regenerative medicine, marine science, physics, mathematics and clinician science disciplines.

British Council 1-1 YL National Day 2026

By connecting researchers directly with the public, the programme reflects SNAS’ longstanding commitment to advancing science and fostering greater public appreciation of STEM.

Together, these partnerships reflect a shared commitment to nurturing curiosity, encouraging lifelong learning and inspiring the next generation of scientists, innovators and changemakers.
