This August, One Punggol invites residents and families to come together through a month of community programmes. August’s line-up brings together youth dance, National Day celebrations and community learning, offering residents opportunities to connect through a diverse range of activities.

Super 24 Secondary Qualifiers

The month opens with the Super 24 Secondary Qualifiers on 1 and 2 August 2026, where One Punggol’s Celebration Square will host the opening stage of Singapore’s flagship team street dance competition. Now in its 13th edition, Super 24 will see 28 secondary schools compete across two days, with each team comprising 24 dancers performing synchronised routines that showcase teamwork, discipline and creativity.

This qualifiers will mark the first stage of the competition season, with successful teams progressing to the Grand Finals to be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium later this month. Open to the public, the event provides residents with the opportunity to support young local talent and experience one of Singapore’s largest youth dance competitions.

National Day Celebrations

In celebration of Singapore’s 61st birthday, One Punggol will host a series of National Day programmes that bring the community together in the spirit of unity and national pride. On 9 August 2026, residents are invited to join the Punggol Coast National Day Observance Ceremony at Celebration Square and The Plaza. The morning celebration will feature community performances, games and family-friendly activities including bouncy castles, a magic show, nostalgic snack stalls, art booths and a mass sing-along, offering residents the opportunity to celebrate Singapore’s birthday together.

The celebrations continue later in the day with a live telecast of the National Day Parade at Celebration Square, where families, friends and neighbours can gather to watch the nation’s birthday celebrations. On 15 August 2026, the festivities culminate with the Punggol Coast National Day Dinner, featuring performances and a dinner that brings residents together to celebrate Singapore’s journey while strengthening community bond.

Rounding off the month, One Punggol will host the Bus Safety Roadshow on 21 and 22 August 2026, organised by the Land Transport Authority in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social and Family Development, People’s Association and public transport operators. Returning to One Punggol, the roadshow will feature a range of interactive activities aimed at raising awareness of bus safety and encouraging responsible commuting habits among commuters of all ages. Through engaging educational experiences, residents can learn practical safety tips while fostering a safer and more considerate commuting environment for the community.

Together, these programmes reflect One Punggol’s commitment to creating opportunities for residents to connect through shared experiences. From celebrating youth talent and Singapore’s National Day to promoting community learning, the August line-up continues to foster a vibrant and inclusive community for residents of all ages.
