Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2021

It’s the same moonlight, but a different Mid-Autumn celebration! This year, due to Covid situation and measures that have been implemented, the scale of Mid-Autumn Festival in Chinatown has been greatly reduced. The Chinatown Festival Organizing Committee hopes to continue the tradition and celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Chinatown through dazzling streets light and to bring festive cheers to everyone.

2. Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2021

As part of its annual Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall will be presenting a special outdoor lantern installation created in collaboration with Thailand artist Boonyavee Boonsakda (Ngaew Ngaew)!

Titled Those Moonlit Moments…, the outdoor installation features four large lantern replicas, including the artist’s characters enjoying mooncakes and each other’s company under the gentle and watchful eye of Ngaew’s Moon Rabbit.

3. Mid-Autumn Festival 2021 @ Gardens By The Bay

Gardens by the Bay Mid Autumn Rabbits' Forest

Based on the theme of “Blessings” (祈福), this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival hopes to bring tidings of good health and better days ahead to visitors through the lantern displays. The highlight is a “Sky Lanterns” set with sky lanterns “floating” up a Supertree against a scenic mountainous backdrop with animals and plants – painting a picture of longevity and prosperity.
