President Halimah Yacob will be hosting a virtual Istana Open House (IOH) to celebrate National Day on Sunday, 2 August 2020. Close to 150 beneficiaries of the President’s Challenge and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund will be joining the IOH.

Visitors to the virtual IOH can experience the Istana grounds via a multimedia interactive tour featuring some of the lesser-known areas (such as the well and the bunker, which are usually not accessible to the public) within the Istana.

Visitors can also interact with an artefact from the National Museum of Singapore in a specially curated digital space called “Zoom into History” and enjoy sneak previews of the Asian Civilisations Museum‘s virtual galleries and National Day programme. As part of the National Day celebrations, visitors will be introduced to NDP2020’s “Our Heart for Singapore” project, which shares Singaporeans’ reflections, thanks, hopes and aspirations for the nation.
