Usher in good fortune with a host of festivities and entertainment at RWS
As visitors enjoy the multitude of festive offerings at the integrated resort, bask in the spirit of spring with an exhilarating Starlit Dragon Spectacular (龙腾炫舞) live performance. Featuring a majestic 88 metres LED Dragon, this captivating Lunar New Year show is set under a starry night sky to welcome the Year of the Dragon ahead. The free public show commences with a thrilling performance by five drummers symbolising the five elements in the world (ie. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Spirit).
A soloist gracefully navigates the crowd and recounts his narrative, accompanied by captivating dancers. The 88m LED dragon then makes its hugely anticipated appearance and blesses the crowd. Set at the Lake of Dreams (梦之湖) of Level One at the Forum (福廊), the event is scheduled for 10 (Saturday) to 13 February (Tuesday) as well as 16 (Friday) to 18 February 2024 (Sunday) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm. Guests can look out for the God of Fortune on these dates too making special appearances as a pre-show item.

From 23 January till before end February 2024, visitors can capture the picture-perfect and Insta-worthy moments for free at AVE8 (8 号街)’s Wealth of Dragons (伶龙闹名胜) whilst admiring the mesmerising and colourful five metres tall Dragon specially installed, accompanied by eight adorable mini Dragons. In addition, visitors can take a peek of their year’s fortunes at the free public displays in the Zodiac Gardens located at AVE8 and Level Basement One of the Forum at RWS.
Following enthusiastic response from the resort’s recent Superstar Christmas holiday extravaganza, Gourmet Park (美食广场) and AVE8 will be home again to a slew of live bands who will deliver melodious and enrapturing free public performances. Enjoy Mando-pop faves and amazing music from AVE8 live bands from 10 (Saturday) to 18 February 2024 (Sunday) and 24 February 2024 (Saturday). Over at Gourmet Park, it is East meets West where live bands mix it up, combining with Asian-flavoured beats and gourmet-style food at this food truck paradise on 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24 February 2024.

S.E.A. Aquarium welcomes the Year of the (Sea) Dragon with an exquisite celebration as it dons aqua-themed Lunar New Year decorations from 26 January to 25 February 2024.
Spring in the Sea (海底春意浓, #SpringintheSEAA) will grace the wondrous S.E.A. Aquarium (S.E.A. 海洋馆), ushering the Lunar New Year with a harmonious blend of marine exploration and cultural festivities from 26 January to 25 February 2024. Guests are invited to witness an underwater dragon dance presentation, learn the auspicious meanings of Lunar New Year greetings inspired by various marine life, enjoy a meet-and-greet with the aquarium’s friendly manta ray mascot and stand a chance to win a pair of S.E.A. Experience the Underwater Dragon Dance Presentation at the Open Ocean Habitat

A highlight of the celebration is the Underwater Dragon Dance Presentation (龙腾四海)at the Open Ocean Habitat in S.E.A. Aquarium, which depicts the dragon conquering all oceans. This breathtaking performance is more than a visual feast, it symbolises aspirations for excellence and success, blessing guests with fortune and vitality. The underwater dragon dance presentation will take place daily from 26 January till 25 February 2024 at 3.30pm.
Learn the Auspicious Meanings of Greetings Inspired by Marine Animals
Visitors will experience an interactive journey where the wisdom of Chinese greetings intertwines with the fascinating characteristics of marine animals. This journey aims to enlighten guests about characteristics of the sea dragons and their fellow marine residents, while alluding to the esteemed dragon symbol in Chinese culture.
For instance, one of the featured marine animals, the archerfish, has the ability to accurately spit jets of water at flying insects and knock them into the water before consuming them. This special ability links to the auspicious Chinese idiom 鱼跃龙门 (fish leaping through the dragon gate), and is befitting of the little legendary marksman: the trajectory of water jets symbolising career success and the realisation of a better life.

At the end of their journey at S.E.A. Aquarium, guests may meet and receive a hug from the S.E.A. Aquarium’s manta ray mascot. They may take memorable we-fies at the specially designed photo-taking corner. The meet-and-greet sessions will take place at 1.30pm and 4pm on weekdays and 1.30pm, 3pm, 4pm on the weekends and public holidays.

Soar into fun (福龙游环球, #SoarIntoFun) this Lunar New Year as Universal Studios Singapore (新加坡环球影城) at RWS gears up the festivities to welcome the Year of the Dragon. From 27 January to 25 February 2024, guests of all ages can look forward to a series of exciting experiences, including all-new live shows featuring DreamWorks Animation’s Po and Master Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, a captivating lantern display and meet and greets with beloved characters. Embark on a gastronomic journey this Lunar New Year at Feng Shui Inn (风水廷) with Executive Chef Li Kwok Kwong’s (李国光执行主厨) meticulously crafted menu that promises to elevate the festive celebrations with a nod to a prosperous year ahead. The Eternal Fortune Menu (金玉满堂) (S$288++ per person) features prized ingredients in dishes such as Double-boiled Imperial Bird’s Nest, Fresh Crab Meat, Superior Stock (八面春风 高汤蟹肉炖官燕); Stewed 6 Head South Africa Abalone, Sea Cucumber stuffed Shrimp Paste (双星并辉 红烧南非六头鲍鱼,虾胶酿海参); and Crispy Suckling Pig Fillet, Crispy Crab Claw in Thai Sauce (瑞气祥云 脆皮乳猪件伴泰式酱脆蟹钳).
Other ala-carte menu highlights include the exquisite Lobster, Shredded Taro, Ice Plant Crystalline Yu Sheng, Homemade Aged Vinegar Dressing (龙蟠凤翥 秘制陈醋汁龙虾香芋丝水晶冰菜鱼生) (S$188++ per portion). Seafood and meat enthusiasts can look forward to the Stir-fried Tiger Prawns, Dried Oyster, Spring Onion (哈哈大笑 洋葱金蚝炒老虎虾) (S$48++ per portion). This dish, combining the natural sweetness of fresh wild-caught tiger prawns with subtly savoury notes from the lush premium Japanese oysters, is stir-fried to perfection, showcasing a rich and savoury tapestry of flavours.
The Signature Roasted Crispy Chicken (祥麟威风 招牌脆皮风沙鸡) (S$32++ for half portion)’s beautiful golden exterior shatters to reveal juicy and succulent meat with each bite. Seasoned with the iconic Hong-Kong style wind and sand mixture, the crispy chicken is both salty and spicy, made with fried breadcrumbs, fried garlic, crispy rice, and specially seasoned salt.
Diners can complete the festive feast with the Golden Ingot Nian Gao (喜事连连金元宝年糕) (S$16++ for three pieces). These ingot-shaped glutinous rice cakes symbolise good fortune and wealth, offering a subtle coconut aroma that complements the chewy texture of the dessert.
