Gardens by the Bay presents its annual Poinsettia Wishes, returning with a Nordic Christmas Adventure theme. Visitors will embark on a wintry journey inspired by Viking culture, with adorable Nordic Nisses greeting them. These creatures, reminiscent of a blend between garden gnomes and Santa Claus, don Viking attire.

The landscape draws inspiration from charming fishing villages along Nordic coastlines, featuring iconic red and white fishermen’s cabins known as rorbuer. Amidst Christmas fir trees, the display showcases over 20 poinsettia varieties, including unconventional ones with vibrant yellow or plum-tinted bracts, and round ones resembling mouse ears.

13. RSAF Open House 2023

RSAF Airforce Open House

Visitors can expect familiarisation flights with the crowd-favourite CH-47 Chinook helicopter and the A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) – for the first time. They will also get to watch capability demonstrations, such as an air defence display, and get up close and personal with RSAF assets and personnel at the static display.

48. Istana Open House

Visitors can look forward to new features such as the enhanced Swan Pond with a new viewing deck and garden stream, as well as live performances and activity booths. The programme and fees can be found on IOH website. There will also be food stalls and a food truck as well as merchandise booths with limited-edition Istana souvenirs and President’s Challenge souvenirs. All fees collected and proceeds from the merchandise booths will go towards charities supported by the President’s Challenge.

49. Punggol Regional Library (New)

Singapore’s latest public library fully opens in Punggol, unveiling five floors of extensive and accessible features in one of the youngest housing estates in the country.

In addition to the children’s and accessible collections on Levels 1 and 2 which opened earlier in January, Levels 3 to 5 of the Punggol Regional Library now welcomes everyone with spaces for teenagers, seniors, and freelancers and aspiring business owners.
