Science Centre Singapore (SCS) will celebrate SG60 with an enthralling STEM Fiesta – a three-day extravaganza of discovery and fun for the whole family, happening from 9 to 11 August 2025, 10am to 5pm. With Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration gracing the launch, the SG60 weekend promises to be an epic celebration of curiosity, wonder and science.
Special Admission Perks to Various Attractions
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents enjoy complimentary admission to Science Centre Singapore and the Omni-Theatre while all STEM Fiesta visitors get a 50% discount on KidsSTOP™ and Escape @ Science Centre Singapore tickets. Snow City is offering a 1-hour snow play bundle for two adults and two children at just $60 (U.P. $78).
Exciting Carnival Games & STEM-Themed Activities
Step into the Science Centre Annexe Halls 2 & 3 for a spirited celebration that captures the essence of Singapore’s diverse regions. Delight in complimentary offerings, including popcorn and cotton candy, while enjoying exciting activities from an inflatable slide to airbrush tattoos and balloon sculpting. Thrilling Science Shows
Catch two dazzling performances at Annexe Hall 1, alternating hourly from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
The Spectacular Science Show packs a thrilling sequence of iconic demonstrations that have wowed Science Centre audiences for years – from swirling fire tornadoes and dramatic hydrogen balloon explosions to billowing liquid nitrogen clouds – this 15-minute, dialogue-free format is designed to amaze.
The Electrified Elements Light Show promises a power packed display of lights, lasers, and robotics offering a sneak peek into SCS’s award-winning theatrical production The ELECTRIFIED Show. This visual spectacle will treat audiences to an exclusive first look of brand-new effects from its upcoming Season 2.
For the Community, By the Community
Beyond exciting science demonstrations, STEM Fiesta guests can explore community showcases spotlighting Singapore’s innovative spirit and shared heritage.
The New Science Centre: Wonderfully Yours showcase, located at the Centre’s Entrance Alcove, presents an inspiring glimpse into the upcoming development at Jurong Lake District. It reflects the collective aspirations gathered through community engagement initiatives over the past year. Guests are encouraged to contribute their ideas and aspirations for the new Science Centre, to facilitate co-creation and active participation to help shape the new space.
The Kampung Lab will transform the Centre’s Annexe Courtyard and Foyer into a vibrant community hub celebrating traditional crafts, music and nostalgic kampung vibes. In this lively corner, guests can enjoy rotating live performances by emerging local talents such as FourFour, The Waterlemons and Soft-Boiled Eggs, and explore displays by youth makers from NUS Makers’ Alley and community groups from Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre.
Special Hands-on Activities @ SCS Galleries
STEM Fiesta will also offer a range of engaging hands-on activities within the Science Centre galleries.
At the Western Entrance, budding biologists can step into the role of a Young Entomologist to examine fascinating insects up close, observe their adaptations and life cycles under microscopes to find out what makes these creatures remarkable. Additionally, young explorers can earn an exclusive SG60 Young Scientist Commemorative Badge from now till 31 December 2025 by completing any two Young Scientist Badge Programme onsite trails – the Young Ecologist, Engineer, Energy Saver, Geneticist, Mathematician – available at $5 each.
At the Science Centre’s DNA Lab, guests can participate in Discovering DNA – a unique opportunity to delve into the world of genetics through interactive experiments like DNA extraction and microscopy.
Sneak Peek at a Roaring New Exhibition
Attendees will get to catch a sneak peek into Science Centre’s upcoming year-end exhibition, developed in collaboration with the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM). The experience, themed around extinctions and dinosaurs, will feature an extraordinary journey spanning 400 million years of Earth’s history. Early bird tickets and exclusive merchandise will be available at a dedicated booth during the STEM Fiesta.
