1. River Hongbao 2026 – Celebrate the Year of the Horse

River Hongbao God of Wealth

River Hongbao, Singapore’s iconic Chinese New Year event, commemorates its 40th anniversary with a milestone edition at Gardens by the Bay. From 15 to 24 February 2026, visitors can look forward to spectacular lanterns, cultural showcases, thrilling rides, vibrant performances, and a wide range of festive treats as the festival ushers in a year of strength, vitality, and good fortune.

Festivities begin at 6.30pm on 15 and 16 February, and at 2.30pm daily from 17 to 24 February. Visitors can enjoy a full day of entertainment and community celebration throughout the 10-day festival. Admission is free.

2. National Stadium at the Kallang serves up a February of festivities

The 54th edition will be a display of Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage, blending tradition with modern creativity. As the People’s Parade, it will showcase how the collective aspirations of more than 3,000 performers can be realised into a national-level extravaganza and call on the 20,000-strong audience to make their wishes with Chingay.

6. Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign

Museum Roundtable Year of Horse Hongbaos

The 2026 Museum Roundtable (MR) Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign is ready to gallop into the Year of the Horse with brand new red packet designs!

Visitors can saddle up for a cultural adventure and collect a set of unique red packet designs at 49 participating museums, heritage institutions and galleries, while stocks last. Each set will contain six (6) pieces of red packets, themed respectively to the 49 participating museums.
