In celebration of UNICEF’s International Day of Play, Children’s Museum Singapore, in collaboration with the Museum Roundtable and community partners, presents PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026 – a week-long line-up of workshops, drop-in activities, and a vibrant weekend carnival.
The programme brings together children, caregivers, educators, and arts practitioners to champion play as a fundamental right and an essential part of learning, wellbeing, and social connection.
The week culminates in a lively weekend carnival featuring partner booth activations, installation-performances, and interactive experiences that transform play principles into joyful, hands-on moments for families and communities.

Be inspired by art this International Day of Play as we let loose and play together! This hands-on workshop is designed to invite children and families to explore loose parts play and creative processes in a joyful and relaxed time at the Gallery. Join us as we discover how simple elements of art can open doors to many play possibilities.

Conversations that happen around play are one of the most underestimated parenting tools available. Held in celebration of International Day of Play, this workshop aims to help caregivers facilitate conversations to help your child tolerate discomfort, develop a growth mindset and be a problem solver, all through play! Look forward to an interactive workshop session where you will learn strategies before practising them in a storytelling LEGO play session with your child.

International Day of Play with the joy of open-ended creativity! What can you create with just a pair of googly eyes? Let your imagination run wild – dream up a creature, a machine, a flower, a vehicle, or something entirely unexpected.
Once you’re done, scan your drawing at the Stamp Parade interactive and watch it come to life!
With no rules, instructions, or right or wrong outcomes, this drop-in activity invites families to create freely and connect through the spirit of play.

Come play to the beat of your own drum…literally!
Explore and build your own musical instrument using recycled loose materials.
