Many families are looking for alternative recreational plans due to the global COVID-19 situation. Responding to the demand, the Royal Albatross, Singapore’s only Luxury tall ship in Asia is opening for an exclusive Children’s themed cruise called the “Pirates Ahoy. Out at Sea”. The event takes place outdoors on board an open decked traditionally rigged tall ship, with guaranteed fresh breezes from the sea.

The tall-ship gives children a real-life experience to discover how it is like to live onboard an actual vessel that is built similar to those in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ In the out of classroom experience they will get to learn how it is to set the sails onboard the ship, learn about knots and play nautical-themed games. The experience comes with a hearty kids buffet. And all early birds will get a chance to a complimentary young cadet certificate with a personal photo session with the actual ship captain and a mini folder that they will be able to take home with them, completing the entire experience.

This event will take place on selected dates during the March holidays from 14 to 22 March 2020 and targeted for families with kids from ages 4+. Tickets may be purchased online from Klook or at the Royal Albatross Booth at RWS Sentosa adjacent to the sea aquarium.

Welcome onboard the Royal Albatross, Asia’s only 22 sail 4 mast traditionally rigged luxury tall ship. Get inspired by the massive Dacron canvas sails, tall wooden masts and luxurious handcrafted woodwork on board the ship which took craftsman over 360,00 man-hours and over 6 years to redesign.

The Royal Albatross was designed by Hollywood Master Rigger, Jim Barry who was involved in the designing of the ships in Master & Commander and Pirates of the Caribbean and had even appeared on the movie “Dark Knight” as Bruce Wayne’s private yacht. This famous ship played host to international guests like Princess Anne, Actress Jane Seymour and many others.
