Creativeans is excited to announce the launch of our fund-raising campaign in collaboration with Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore), Care For Each Otter. This new initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife in our community by offering the opportunity for individuals and businesses to donate through the purchase of red packets.
Red packets, also known as Hong Bao, are a traditional part of Chinese New Year celebrations and are often given as gifts or to offer good luck. By purchasing red packets through our campaign, donors can not only share the joy of the spring festival but also make a meaningful contribution to the conservation of wildlife in Singapore.
The red packets, printed on antimicrobial-varnished paper courtesy of OVOL Singapore and FSC®️ certified paper, are the first of their kind in Singapore. The odour-free surface protective varnish eliminates bacteria, mould, and viruses, making it suitable for sharing during the festive season while protecting against Covid-19.
The red packet design, inspired by the Chinese idiom “雨过天晴” (new hopes after a disastrous period), features a family of otters emerging from a heavy storm. Otters are the perfect embodiment of the Singaporean spirit, symbolising togetherness, unity, and community. The design is completed with a meaningful quote written by the director of Creativeans, Yulia Saksen’s mother: “春到人间福满堂, 海獭逢春尤其乐” (Spring has come to welcome prosperity, good health and happiness. There is peace when otters meet the season).
All proceeds from the purchases will benefit the Jane Goodall Institute’s work to protect wildlife and natural habitats, including conservation efforts for endangered species such as the Sunda Pangolin and the Binturong. The Institute also promotes sustainable practices in Singapore.
We believe that by coming together and supporting the Jane Goodall Institute, we can make a positive impact on the future of wildlife in Singapore.
