Free Upcycling Workshops For Parent And Child

Contrary to popular belief, there are many items which cannot be thrown into recycling bins. These include type 6 (PS) plastic, food waste, old textile materials and wood.

Traditionally known as the conversion of waste into something of higher value, upcycling also breathes new life into old products, turning them from unwanted to useful.

Upcycle workshops for parent and child

Through the period of January to February, you can learn how to upcycle everyday items.

There will be free workshops for the public at Cairnhill CC on the following dates:

Upcycled Zipper Pouches Workshop, 27 January, 2.30pm – 4pm
Eco-Enzyme Workshop, 3 February, 2.30pm – 4pm
Upcycled Bag Workshop, 10 February, 2.30pm – 4pm

Upcycling workshops for Parent and child by Up and Away

Each workshop is limited to 30 pax. Everyone is welcome, but parent-child pairs will be given priority.

Up and Away is a campaign based in Singapore initiated by students from NTU Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information. The project is dedicated to promoting upcycling as a fun, doable activity that parents and children of ages 7 to 9 can do together to create useful products and do their part to help reduce waste in Singapore!
