Paragon turns art into impact this Mid-Autumn with 50 one-of-a-kind rabbit sculptures

A celebration of art, culture and giving, Mid-Autumn Lumière brings together the creativity of Raffles Design Institute and ART:DIS to raise awareness and funds in support of children and youths with disabilities.

A celebration of creativity that gives back

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Paragon transforms art into community impact with a celebration centred around 50 one-of-a-kind rabbit sculptures, created in collaboration with Raffles Design Institute (RDI) and ART:DIS (Arts & Disability) Singapore.

From 2 to 27 September 2026, Paragon reimagines one of the most enduring symbols of the Mid-Autumn Festival through art, design, and craftsmanship.

Supported with matching donations by CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), this initiative goes beyond raising funds for charity and provides a meaningful platform to spotlight the talents of artists from ART:DIS, fostering greater awareness, appreciation, and inclusion of artists with disabilities through their creative works.

Taking centre stage against a luminous moon backdrop, each rabbit offers a distinctive interpretation of the familiar Mid-Autumn icon. Extending the experience beyond the mall, 50 additional rabbit sculptures will line Paragon’s exterior landscaping, forming a visual trail that guides visitors towards the main display.

Created through the unique perspectives of Raffles Design students and ART:DIS artists, the rabbit sculptures showcase a diverse range of artistic talent and creative disciplines. From the artists’ distinctive painting techniques to the students’ knowledge in fashion design and marketing, jewellery design and product design, the collection brings emerging talent and diverse artistic voices into a contemporary interpretation of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Among the 50 art pieces are four rabbit sculptures, each designed by a distinguished guest contributor from Singapore’s public, business, philanthropic and design communities, showcasing their unique creative interpretation of the Moon Rabbit legend.

The guest contributors are Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Social and Family Development; Mr Ervin Yeo, Group Chief Strategy Officer and CEO, Commercial Management, CapitaLand Investment; Mr Tony Tan, Chief Corporate Officer, CapitaLand Development, and Executive Director, CapitaLand Hope Foundation; and Mr Giuseppe (Joe) Spinelli, Principal and Programme Director of Fashion Design and Marketing, and Jewellery Design at Raffles College of Higher Education.

Adopt-a-rabbit

Blossoms of Reunion by Noah Tan Kai Known for his vibrant pop art aesthetics and exceptional use of colour, Noah transforms inspirations from the natural world into bold, captivating works. His rabbit sculpture features delicate Sakura blossoms symbolising beauty, hope and joyful reunions. A recipient of the Goh Chock Tong Enable Awards 2021, Noah has been commissioned by Uniqlo, GIC, CapitaLand and Bank of Singapore.

The spirit of Mid-Autumn Lumière extends beyond the exhibition with a meaningful charity initiative. Through Paragon’s Adopt-a-rabbit programme, all 50 bespoke sculptures will be available for adoption at S$800 each, with all proceeds donated to ART:DIS in support of its efforts to create greater opportunities and inclusion for artists with disabilities.

Interested shoppers can scan the QR code displayed alongside each sculpture or browse the e-catalogue that will be accessible via Paragon’s website to discover the artworks and identify their preferred pieces. Donations will be made directly to ART:DIS. As a registered Institution of a Public Character (IPC), ART:DIS will issue tax-deductible receipts and coordinate collection arrangements directly with donors.

All rabbit sculptures will remain on display until 27 September, allowing visitors to appreciate the complete visual showcase before each adopted sculpture embarks on its journey to its new home.

With the support of CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand Group, every rabbit adopted can make an even greater difference. As part of CapitaLand’s #GivingAsOne campaign, CHF will match contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to S$40,000, amplifying the impact of each rabbit that will be adopted.

Funds raised will support the Foundation Visual Arts Programme, creating access to artistic development and creative opportunities for children and youths with disabilities, while fostering pathways towards greater inclusion.

This partnership with Paragon gives our artists an important public platform, placing their work where thousands of people can encounter and appreciate it. We hope more partnerships like this will create opportunities for artists with disabilities to be recognised and supported for the work they create,” said Ms. Angela Tan, Executive Director, ART:DIS.

Singapore Polka Dots Skyline by Lau Poo Seng Raymond Award-winning Singaporean artist Raymond is known for his abstract-impressionist cityscapes that capture the pulse, memories and changing landscape of Singapore. Raymond’s creation brings his signature style to life through colourful dots and patterns, interwoven with familiar buildings and architectural details that form a playful interpretation of Singapore’s evolving skyline.

A Mid-Autumn experience for the senses

Through September, Paragon’s atrium will come alive with a programme of experiences that celebrates the sights, sounds and traditions of Mid-Autumn in fresh and engaging ways.

Shoppers can enjoy live instrumental performances featuring traditional Chinese instruments on selected weekends, while Paragon Club members can immerse in candle customisation workshops.

Perfect for the little ones, Paragon Junior activities will bring added moments of delight with complimentary face painting and balloon sculpting for children aged two and above.

From 2 to 27 September, Paragon Club members who spend a minimum of S$1,000 on up to three combined same-day receipts, can receive the exclusive 290 Grand Reserve Tea Set.
