16. City Square Mall’s Gift-A-Wish

City Square Mall Gift-A-Wish

In this season’s spirit of joy and gifting, City Sunshine Club – the employee volunteer platform of City Developments Limited – joined in the celebrations with its Gift-A-Wish initiative at City Square Mall. This meaningful initiative saw success in fulfilling all 100 festive wishes from children living in rental units in the Limbang Division under the North West District. All festive wishes were granted and presented by City Square Mall to the Limbang Division on 11 December 2021, and then presented to the excited children by Guest of Honour Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong on 12 December 2021.


18. Launch of Santa’s Red Headscarf

The Singapore Centre for Chinese Language launched the “Santa’s Red Headscarf”, a Christmas Picture book suitable for preschoolers, following the two previous Christmas book series “Where is the Chimney” and “Santa’s Flip-Flops”.

“Santa’s Red Headscarf” links the uniquely Singapore Samsui women’s red headscarf with Santa Claus’s red hat where Santa himself guides children through the Samsui women’s history. The story carries a typical Singapore cultural theme where the scenes depict the familiar local environment, and the characters possess the unique cultural traits of tropical Singapore.
