Dr Tan Zhen Han

Dr Tan Zhen Han graduated on the Dean’s List from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2008. He attained his postgraduate qualifications with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) in 2011, and was conferred Fellowship by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2015.
Over his seven years tenure at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Singapore General Hospital, Dr Tan trained in various departments including Paediatric Medicine, Neonatology, Intensive Care, Children’s Emergency, and Paediatric Subspecialities.
In the domain of education, Dr Tan was actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents posted to the Department of Paediatrics.
His teaching appointments include:
- Clinical Physician Faculty Member, Singhealth Residency Program, May 2014
- Clinical Lecturer, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, August 2014
- Physician Faculty Member, Singhealth Paediatrics Residency Program, January 2015
He also published several papers in various international peer-reviewed scientific journals. The papers include Nail Shedding Following Hand Foot Mouth Disease (Archives of Disease and Childhood, 2013) and Case Series of 3 Infants with Erythema Multiforme following Hepatitis B Vaccination (Pediatrics and Neonatology, 2015).
Dr Tan was awarded the Outstanding House Officer Award in the Department of Paediatrics in 2008, the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Silver Award) in 2012, and held the title of Chief Registrar for the Department of Paediatrics for the period from November 2012 to April 2013.
Prior to joining SBCC, he was an Associate Consultant in the Department of Paediatrics, KKH.
Dr Tan is an active volunteer with the Children’s Special Needs Support Group in his church.
