At ACT 3 Drama Academy, our June holiday programmes invite children into meaningful learning experiences through two distinct workshops: Drama Workshops and Young Speakers Workshops.
June Holiday Drama Workshops
Story-rich drama experiences where children use role, movement, voice, rhythm, collaboration, and performance to enter imaginative worlds.
This June, children step into the imaginative world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory through active drama experiences designed to engage both creativity and collaboration. Through role play, movement, improvisation, ensemble work, and performance, children enter the story world together and bring its characters and moments to life.
Drama workshops invite children to think and respond from within the world of the story. They explore situations, make choices as characters, solve problems collaboratively, and experience storytelling through action.
Families may choose from one off workshops or full week programmes. The one off workshops offer children an engaging introduction to drama through focused story experiences. Each session stands on its own, allowing children to enter key moments from the story through imaginative play and performance based activities. The full week workshops provide a deeper immersion into the creative process. Across the week, children build scenes, develop ensemble work, and shape a final presentation that is shared with parents. The sharing is not simply a performance outcome. It gives children a sense of ownership, achievement, and pride in what they have created together.
Young Speakers Workshops
Idea-led speaking workshops where children find an idea that matters to them, shape it into a clear message, and articulate it in their own voice.
Young Speakers is built on a simple belief: children have ideas worth hearing. In this workshop, children are guided to find an idea that matters to them, think about it more deeply, and shape it into words. They learn how to move from a thought to a clear message, from a personal observation to a point of view, and from uncertainty to spoken expression.
The workshop gives children a structure for thinking, choosing, refining, and articulating. The goal is not to make children sound rehearsed or overly polished. The goal is to help them speak from a real idea, in their own voice, with clarity and conviction.
Through guided activities and speaking opportunities, children practise organising their thoughts, listening actively, and responding thoughtfully. They develop confidence not by memorising scripts, but by learning how to articulate ideas that genuinely belong to them.
Two Different Starting Points, Shared Growth
Whether children are stepping into a story world or stepping forward with an idea of their own, both workshops create space for children to discover and grow.
