This June, Marina Square kicks off the SG60 celebrations with a vibrant, nostalgia-filled campaign that invites children of all ages – including the young at heart – to experience the magic of retro playgrounds.

From 11 to 22 June 2025, the Central Atrium will come alive with a one-of-a-kind play experience that features three immersive bouncy playgrounds modelled after Singapore’s most beloved playground landmarks, the Dragon Slide, Pelican Maze, and Elephant Playground.

Taking centre stage at Marina Square’s central atrium is a giant inflatable Dragon Slide – a reimagined tribute to one of Singapore’s most iconic playground landmarks. Designed for a new generation to climb, slide, and explore, this playful centrepiece is inspired by Khor Ean Ghee’s original 1979 creation. Once a symbol of strength and resilience in Toa Payoh, the dragon remains a cherished icon in Singapore’s collective memory.

The Pelican Maze, a creative representation of Singapore’s local wildlife and biodiversity. This bouncy maze is more than just play, as kids navigate through winding paths discovering symbols of the region’s rich tropical landscape.

Completing the nostalgic trio is the Elephant Playground, a tribute to the classic mosaic playgrounds that dotted Singapore’s neighborhoods in the 1970s and 80s, that formed the backdrop of countless childhood memories. Now, the Elephant comes to life in a larger-than-life inflatable form, offering today’s generation a taste of the joy, imagination, and freedom of play once experienced by their parents.

Admission passes for these playgrounds are available for purchase at $6 per 30-minute session (U.P $10) exclusively for Marina Square Rewards Members. Limited to 2,500 passes, on a while-stocks-last basis. Passes can be purchased via the Marina Square App > tap ‘Show more’ > click ‘Purchases’ tab. Rediscover the Joy of Old-School Games

Step back into childhood times with a delightful selection of old-school games available at the atrium from 11 to 22 June 2025. Shoppers of all ages can try their hand at classic favorites like Chapteh, Five Stones, Pick-up Sticks, and the Spinning Top, timeless games that once brought endless fun. Whether looking to introduce these games to the little ones or relive childhood, it’s the perfect way to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the joy of play.

SG60 Themed Faber-Castell Soft Pastel Workshop

Visitors can also join a specially curated Soft Pastel Workshop held at the Marina Foyer. This hands-on session invites kids to unleash their creativity through pastel art inspired by SG60 and National Day themes. For just $35, participants will learn to create iconic SG60 artworks using soft pastels from Faber-Castell and just their fingers. Artists will be provided with 1 set of Faber-Castell Soft Pastel Starter Kit worth $36.70, a Metal Stencil – I LOVE SG worth $6 and a Photo Frame worth $10. Suitable for all ages*, where no prior art experience is necessary, this workshop is the perfect opportunity for young artists to express themselves while learning new techniques in a fun and meaningful setting. Interested parties can sign up at the Marina Square Customer Service Counter.
