Celebrate the beauty of orchids and the spirit of bayanihan – the Filipino tradition of community and helping without expecting anything in return – at Cloud Forest’s latest orchid display.

Gardens by the Bahay Kubo: A Fiesta of Orchids pays tribute to the breathtaking orchids and the rich culture of the Philippines. The country is home to some of the most beautiful orchids in the world and boasts one of the highest levels of endemic orchid species.

At the centre of the display is a Bahay Kubo, a traditional stilt house symbolising Philippine culture’s strong community bonds. In a true display of bayanihan, when a family relocates, the entire neighbourhood gathers to help move the Bahay Kubo. Surrounding the structure, you’ll find over 40 taxa of orchids, including the Vanda, Dendrobium, and Phalaenopsis genera, showcasing the exquisite beauty of Philippine orchids.

Be sure to visit within the first few weeks to witness the limited bloom of the waling-waling (Vanda sanderiana), affectionately known as the Queen of Philippine Orchids.

Throughout the display, you’ll also encounter other remarkable blooms like Phalaenopsis schilleriana, an orchid native to the Philippines and an ancestor to many pink moth orchid hybrids seen today.
