Introducing the first mall in Singapore to launch a wildlife-themed rooftop playground!

The new wildlife-themed playground in Tampines 1 aims to educate children on wildlife conservation, the new rooftop playground has dedicated wet and dry play areas and is suitable for children aged 2 to 12, providing them with multi-sensory play time as part of the family’s shopping experience at the mall. Boasting lush greenery and sheltered pavilions around the play area, the rooftop playground is an ideal rest stop for parents from shopping while engaging their children in experiential play.

Depicting wildlife from North America to Antarctica, children are brought on an educational journey across the continents with polar bear and sea lion slides, hippopotamus frolicking in shallow pools of water, and giant misting flora and fauna of the South American rainforest.

Tampines 1 also collaborated with the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES) to create information boards which are erected around the playground. The information boards highlight the threats faced by wildlife, and parents can use these boards to educate their children on wildlife conservation, enhancing their experience at the playground.

The rooftop playground will be opened daily from 10am to 9.30pm from 10 March 2012 (Saturday).
