Science Centre Singapore (SCS) is dedicating the month of March to encourage Singaporeans to fortify through Science. When it comes to health and safety, the first line of defense is personal hygiene and every small effort plays a big part in keeping ourselves and our communities clean and green.

To equip Singaporeans with knowledge on safeguarding and strengthening their well-being, SCS will be rolling out a series of interactive workshops and activities.

1. Virus or Bacteria?

Science Centre Singapore DIY Hand Sanitiser Workshop

With demand for sanitising products surging amid the recent public health situation, Science Educators have curated an interactive DIY hands-on session to teach guests to make their own antibacterial and anti-viral hand sanitiser. They will also learn the differences between Bacteria and Viruses and the best ways to combat them.

2. Feel the Heat

Science Centre Singapore March 2020 Workshop

Learn more about the properties of heat, temperature and thermometer through engaging demonstrations and interactive hands-on experiments! Guests will get to bring home a self-built temperature probe and a multimeter that can be used for accurate temperature measurements.
