Joseph Ong, Founder and Managing Director of 1-Group said, “We are thrilled to be able to bring the Jurassic World Cafe to Singapore, especially at such an iconic location at ION Sky. 2020 has been a trying year for all of us, and we are hoping that this pop-up will bring joy to people during the year-end season. I am also delighted to announce that 1-Group has found a new home within ION Orchard and this will be the first of many great experiences that we will be able to bring to diners.”
Yeo Mui Hong, Chief Executive of Orchard Turn Developments said, “At ION Orchard, we are constantly reinventing the way that we deliver unique and memorable experiences to our shoppers, and this exciting partnership with 1-Group achieves just that. As local residents find themselves exploring more of Singapore this year, we are excited for them to rediscover ION Sky as a unique lifestyle space where they can dine, shop and be entertained at the Jurassic World Cafe, with Singapore’s skyline as a majestic backdrop.”
Shigeyoshi Sato, Chief Executive of PARCO (Singapore) Pte Ltd said, “Following the huge success of the Jurassic World Cafe in Japan, we are encouraged to bring in the concept to Singapore. We believe it will garner the same support and interest here due to the wide appeal of the movies, and diners can get to enjoy some of the original themed food and beverages.”
Limited Edition Merchandise
Visitors can get their hands on limited edition collectibles such as the Snap Squad figures from Mattel and as well as a Blue plushie keychain that has been specially produced by 1-Group for the café at the dedicated merchandise section. Many other great items including Jurassic World-themed dinosaur LEGO sets will also be available.
Working with PARCO and the Jurassic World franchise for the first time, 1-Group will be bringing in both a life-sized and a LEGO model of Blue, the fan-favourite Velociraptor that enthusiasts young and old alike will be able to capture memories with.
Themed Menu Items
Jurassic World fans can look forward to the much-anticipated menu inspired by key elements of the well-loved movie franchise, such as the “Volcano Curry” emulating lava from the active volcano in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the “Geologic Parfait” and “Lava Cookies”.
Drawing on their vast culinary experience, 1-Group chefs have also injected some local flavours into the menu. Come December, look forward to festive-themed dishes featuring the “Christmas Meat Platter” and “Cranberry Mint Chocolate” available from 1 December 2020.
Due to the current social distancing precautions, reservations are highly encouraged. The cafe will be open daily from 11am to 10pm, and tables will be available for booking from 6 November 2020 onwards.
