Wild Day Out At Mandai Wildlife Reserve's First-ever Pawsome Weekend

Free-to-access playgrounds, green spaces and activities for all in the family, including doggie furkids, on 7 and 8 September 2024 from 1pm to 6pm! (Located at Mandai Wildlife West, outside Bird Paradise)

A twist on a weekend activity that many Singaporean families know well – the Mandai Wildlife Reserve is putting some wild into weekend enrichment and tuition. Not just for school children, but for Singapore’s doggie furkids! And of course, everyone’s invited to the first Wild Day Out weekend that will come alive at Mandai Wildlife West, the public arena outside Bird Paradise with an event lawn and a myriad of cafes and shops (refer to map below). No tuition or admission fees apply!

To get everyone’s tails wagging, Wild Day Out will be teeming with dog-friendly activities, wild enrichment workshops and a scavenger hunt with attractive prizes, including access to Bird Paradise’s Backstage Pass: Avian Healthcare. Families can also chill out together at a dog play area or shop for sustainable goods at the Wild Day Out Marketplace!

Participants with their dogs can write positive messages, draw pictures, or share inspiring quotes on a designated wall space.

Chained Dog Awareness – Furry Fundraiser

In 2015, Chained Dog Awareness Singapore was started. The non-profit organisation was founded to raise awareness of the plight of the many dogs chained across Singapore.

Through their work that includes increasing awareness through multi-faceted education strategies, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming, they advocate for 30 to 40 chained dogs yearly. Funds raised will go to supporting their efforts.

Wild Day Out Scavenger Hunt

Engage in an interactive scavenger hunt around Mandai Wildlife West where you will search for specific items or complete tasks based on a list of clues. This activity promotes teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a sense of adventure.

Great fun for the family! No prior registration required.

Upon Successful Hunt Completion, each participating family will have a chance at our sure-win lucky draw! Prizes include access to our Backstage Pass: Avian Healthcare, Bird Paradise admission tickets, Mandai retail vouchers, Old Chang Kee vouchers and Bird Paradise pins!

Discover Nature’s Colours Through Loose Parts Play

Nature offers a variety of sensorial experiences for children to explore. There are many opportunities for young children to explore the colourful world around them using their senses, here in Mandai Wildlife West.

Join us in this interactive parent-child session to learn how you might engage your child in wildlife-inspired activities to encourage nature-based outdoor play.
