VivoCity Welcomes Chinese New Year 2026 with a Grand Celebration of Reunion, Tradition and Shared Joy

This Chinese New Year, VivoCity ushers in the Year of the Fire Horse with Timeless Reunion, Endless Joy, a vibrant festive campaign running from 27 January to 16 February 2026, featuring a striking festive centrepiece, celebratory festive performances and a full calendar of family-friendly experiences.
Inspired by the cherished tradition of the Eight Treasure Tray, VivoCity’s Chinese New Year celebrations centre on the themes of togetherness, abundance and sharing – values that lie at the heart of the festive season.
A LARGER-THAN-LIFE EIGHT TREASURE TRAY TAKES CENTRE STAGE
From 27 January to 3 March 2026, shoppers can step into a visual and cultural highlight at the Outdoor Plaza, Level 1, where a larger-than-life Eight Treasure Tray display forms the heart of VivoCity’s festive décor.
Reimagined on a grand scale, the immersive installation features iconic festive delights and symbolic design elements that celebrate reunion and abundance. Designed as a warm, photo-worthy gathering point for families and friends, the installation offers a meaningful backdrop for festive photos and shared moments.
Complementing the display are zodiac reading panels, inviting visitors to discover insights and well-wishes for the Year of the Fire Horse.
FESTIVE SHOPPING AND SEASONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Adding to the festive atmosphere, TANGS Chinese New Year Fair returns to VivoCity, featuring more than 45 booths offering festive treats, CNY hampers and gift sets from both well-loved local favourites and established regional brands.
Highlights at the fair include festive favourites from Goodwood Park Hotel, such as traditional yam cake, celebratory cakes and an array of festive cookies. CB (Sigma Food) also presents a premium range of frozen seafood, complemented by Chinese New Year essentials like Pen Cai and canned abalone.
For sweet treats and gifting, explore festive cookies from Soicoco, Hanako and BB Atelier, along with artisanal cookies, snacks and crackers by Pinch Bakehouse. Shanghai Pai 310 introduces authentic cookies and savoury snacks inspired by classic Shanghai flavours, while Lo Hong Ka rounds out the selection with elegant hampers and nourishing bird’s nest offerings.

A Rare 20-Lion Dance Performance
One of the campaign’s most anticipated highlight takes place on 28 February 2026, when VivoCity hosts a rare 20-lion dance performance by the award-winning Pho Leng Lion Dance Troupe.
The large-scale performance – an uncommon sight in mall settings – brings together 20 southern lions in a high-energy display to usher in luck, prosperity and festive cheer for the new year. An additional lion dance performance will also be held on 25 February 2026.
