UNIQLO x ACM UTme! by Hafi Weekend

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO will debut its first-ever museum pop-up in partnership with the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) as part of its global vision to make art accessible for all. This almost two-month long display located in the lobby of the museum will feature a curated line-up of Graphic–T-shirts from the UT universe, as well as the new UNIQLO x ACM local UTme! Collection. This pop-up forms a part of ACM’s upcoming festival Crossing Cultures where visitors can look forward to a series of free arts programmes: ‘A Weekend of Curiosities’ from 10 to 12 April 2026.

“The concept of Art for All has long been a core part of the UNIQLO LifeWear philosophy with the goal to offer the greatest exposure to art, culture and design to the largest possible audience. We’re delighted to take our commitment a step further in Singapore with our first-ever pop-up designed to spotlight ACM’s rich heritage and local artists”. said Daisuke Hamada, Chief Finance Officer, UNIQLO Singapore & ASEAN Region. “This collaboration is one of the many ways we bring to life our belief that art should be accessible and integrated into daily life.”

“This partnership with UNIQLO Singapore reflects our shared commitment to making the National Collection more accessible and meaningful to broader audiences. By engaging contemporary creative practice and design, we can interpret these cross-cultural works from fresh perspectives – connecting past and present in ways that resonate with how people live, create, and express themselves today,” said Clement Onn, Director of the Asian Civilisations Museum and Peranakan Museum.

Celebrating Local Artists Through UNIQLO x ACM UTme! Collection

The Asian Civilisations Museum presents the art and history of Asia through the lens of Singapore as a cosmopolitan port city, shaped by centuries of trade and cultural exchange. Its collection reflects the crosscurrents that have connected communities across Asia and beyond. UNIQLO brings this heritage to life with the new UNIQLO x ACM UTme! Collection, launching 10 April, reinterpreting museum objects through a contemporary lens.

Inspired by objects in the galleries – including a candelabra, a pitcher in the form of a dancing woman, and a palampore – compare them with their contemporary reinterpretations. Designed by local artists Knuckles & Notch, Gabriel De Souza, SONG, HAFI, and Nikkei, the objects are reimagined into wearable art through their unique visual styles ranging from the quirky and whimsical to bold graphics. Visitors can get a first look of the collection at ACM, and visit UNIQLO’s UTme! Stores Orchard Central Global Flagship Store, UNIQLO ION, UNIQLO VivoCity and UNIQLO Jewel Changi Airport for customisations. Beyond the new UTme! collection, visitors can look forward to checking out the array of UT collections, such as NY POP ART featuring iconic prints from art-world figureheads such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, alongside collaboration designs (Tate Modern, Uki yo-e Blue prints) and other UNIQLO T-shirts.

A Weekend of Curiosities from 10 to 12 April

Crossing Cultures is a regular programme series that explores ACM’s collection through performing arts, craftsmanship, food traditions, wellness practices, and other aspects of intangible cultural heritage – past and present. Visitors can explore a wide range of arts activities through the weekend:

  • Drop-in crafts and creative workshops: Hands-on sessions with local artists and makers, including Knuckles & Notch, exploring various materials and techniques.
  • Live music and film showcase: Live music by local artists on the ACM Green during the day, followed by outdoor film screenings in the evening.
  • UNIQLO APP promotion: Visitors who download the UNIQLO APP, post on social media, and tag @uniqlosg, can redeem a $6 UT/UTme! voucher, valid in stores only.
  • Special exhibition access: With every purchase of an ACM x UTme! T-shirt from UNIQLO Orchard Central Global Flagship Store, Vivocity, Jewel Changi Airport and ION Orchard stores, visitors can redeem complimentary access to ACM’s special exhibitions and all-access areas. Limited to the first 100 redemptions per month until 30 July 2026

Together, these activities create a vibrant platform for visitors to experience the energy of the local arts scene while discovering new interpretations of Asian heritage through art, fashion, and community engagement.
