This Children’s Day, preschoolers and their families will be able to enjoy an exciting hands-on activity that encourages our children to let their imaginations run free!

Organised by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) in collaboration with National Gallery Singapore, the ‘Humpty Reimagined Workshop’ invites preschoolers and their parents/guardians to craft their own interpretations of Humpty Dumpty using everyday items and recycled materials from 1 to 13 October at the Expression Workshop, Keppel Centre for Art Education.

Families will begin with a self-guided tour of the DBS Singapore Gallery 2, to discover four captivating artworks: Tropical Life by Han Sai Por, Horizontals I by Choy Weng Yang, Man and Environment by Chng Seok Tin, and The Face in Meditation by Abdul Ghani Hamid. As they explore, children and their parents/guardians can engage with questions in a special Humpty Reimagined Inspiration Pad, designed to inspire children to imagine how their own Humpty Dumpty might look when they create it back at the Expression Workshop. Families can also look forward to capturing their unique creations and shared moments at a special photo wall and AI poem station.

The ‘Humpty Reimagined Workshop’ is part of ECDA’s ‘Shape Our Tomorrow’ campaign, which aims to empower early childhood educators and parents to do what they do best in school and at home to support the holistic development of young children, and create an environment where they can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
