This October, IKEA Singapore is gearing up for fun in stores with its Play Festival. Aimed at celebrating play at home with exciting experiences, fun game activities and two new exciting collections to support play at home: YXSTABY, a home gaming collection co-created with Xbox, and ALPTALL, a children’s collection designed in collaboration with Nordens Ark, a wildlife conservation centre.
Make space for Play with the new YXSTABY Collection
IKEA and Xbox have joined forces to create YXSTABY, a nine-piece home gaming collection designed to make it easier to bring play into a room and tuck everything away afterwards. Co-created by seven designers from both brands, YXSTABY features versatile pieces like seating, storage and accessories inspired by the iconic XBOX’s iconic controller. The collection will launch in all IKEA stores from 2nd October, and online from 8th October. Limited to 2 pieces per item, per customer in-store. Find out more here.
Get ready to play at IKEA Alexandra
On 3rd and 4th October, IKEA Alexandra is set to become a playground for all gamers and cosplayers. From community tournaments to pro-gaming challenges, there are many ways to play and experience the new YXSTABY collection in action. Find out more here.
Calling all cosplayers!
Suit up as your favourite character, and put your creativity in the spotlight on 4th October, from 2pm to 6pm. Complete fun photo missions in-store and share it on your social media by tagging @ikeasingapore. Strike a pose, wow the judges, and stand a chance to win exciting prizes, including $100 IKEA Gift Cards and $100 beauty hampers for the Best Dressed Cosplayer. Battle it out at the Quick Match Tournaments
Step into the cosiest gaming nook on 3rd and 4th October from 1pm – 7pm and battle it out with other players in 1 vs 1 matches. The overall leaderboard Top Player gets to take home $1,000 worth of gaming vouchers. Open to all visitors aged 8 years old and above. Participants will get a limited edition GÖTEHULT bag, while stocks last. From 2nd to 4th October, spend a minimum of $35 in a single receipt at the Swedish Food Market to receive a free GÖTEHULT bag, limited to the first 50 IKEA Family members. The bag is also available for purchase in-store for $1.90, while stocks last.
Challenge a Pro Gamer
Think your Valorant skills are up to the challenge? Step into the arena and go head-to-head with one of Singapore’s top gaming creators and Pro Gamer, CrazNeax, in an exclusive live gaming takeover on 3rd and 4th October, from 5pm – 7pm. Test your aim, strategy and nerves in a thrilling showdown for the chance to challenge a Pro Gamer and receive a token of participation. Bragging rights, epic moments and high-stakes action await!
Play in the Family Gaming Room
On 3rd and 4th October from 12pm – 7pm, visitors can team up, challenge each other with dance, fitness or puzzle games in our gaming-themed room for the ultimate gathering and gameplay experience. To ensure as many customers as possible can enjoy the experience, play sessions will be time-limited for each individual or group.
Go wild for the new ALPTALL Collection
IKEA brings the wild into children’s spaces with ALPTALL, a playful collection inspired by Himalayan wildlife. Created in collaboration with Nordens Ark, a Swedish non-profit wildlife conservation, this new collection includes soft toys, textiles and play accessories designed to spark curiosity and imaginative play. Get on a wildlife adventure at the IKEA stores
Bringing the world of wildlife and conservation to life, IKEA Singapore is hosting a series of playful activities for families throughout October and November across all three stores. Little explorers can have fun while discovering more about the animals that share our world.
Spot, snap and learn with wildlife animal photo boards
Families with little ones* can spot and snap ALPTALL wildlife photo boards around the stores, and learn about fun wildlife facts from 2nd to 31st October.
Let their imaginations run wild
From 24th to 25th October at 1pm – 6pm, budding artists* can colour their way to a prize in Colours of Himalayas activity. One winner from each IKEA store will receive a set of ALPTALL toys.
Claw your way to a cuddly catch!
Spend $50 in a single receipt instore to get one claw machine token for a chance to bring home your first Himalayan wildlife friend. Catch it at IKEA Alexandra (7th to 8th November) and IKEA Tampines (31st October and 1st November), from 1pm – 6pm.
