“Draw Your Chinatown” Children’s Art Competition and Chinatown Singapore Stamp Rally: Creative Family Fun This June School Holidays
Young artists and curious minds, this one’s for you! Children and students are invited to unleash their creativity and rediscover the magic of Chinatown Singapore through the “Draw Your Chinatown” Art Competition, taking place on 27 and 28 June 2026 along Smith Street.

Running through the June school holidays, the competition invites young participants to celebrate Singapore’s rich cultural heritage and iconic streetscapes through art and imagination. Gathering at the Cultural Heart @ Smith Street, participants will bring to life the vibrant atmosphere and distinctive charm of Chinatown Singapore on paper – capturing beloved streets such as Sago Street, Pagoda Street, Smith Street, and Trengganu Street, each steeped in history, heritage, and character.
Every participant will walk away with a Certificate of Participation, a $10 Chinatown Singapore F&B Voucher, and a complimentary ticket to the Chinatown Heritage Centre. Participants are reminded to arrive in person with their own drawing and colouring materials; A3-size drawing paper will be provided on the day.
The competition also boasts an exciting prize lineup for winners:
- First Prize: Apple iPad Air (worth $899)
- Second Prize: Nintendo Switch 2 (worth $719)
- Third Prize: Huion Kamvas 12 Drawing Tablet (worth $355)
- Fourth to Tenth Prizes: $50 Popular Bookstore vouchers
With only 150 slots available, parents are encouraged to register early. Pre-registration is required, with registration closing on 24 June 2026.
Chinatown Singapore Stamp Rally
The fun doesn’t stop there. Complementing the art competition is the Chinatown Singapore Stamp Rally – an interactive adventure through the lively streets of Sago Street, Mosque Street, Pagoda Street, and Smith Street. Families, children, and visitors can pick up a complimentary printed stamp rally booklet, complete with a localised map, from the Chinatown Visitor Centre, then set off to discover 11 curated landmarks and hidden gems across the neighbourhood.
Along the way, participants can collect stamps, uncover the stories woven into Chinatown’s rich heritage, snap memorable photographs, and share in a meaningful cultural experience together. It’s a wonderful way for families to rediscover Chinatown Singapore at their own pace while creating cherished holiday memories.
“We hope this competition and the stamp rally will inspire children and families to connect with Chinatown Singapore in a meaningful and creative way. Through art, young participants can discover the stories, colours and cultural richness that make Chinatown such a unique part of Singapore’s identity,” said Lim Yick Suan, Executive Director of the Chinatown Business Association.
