Usher in the year of the Rooster at the Gallery’s Chinese New Year Open House, with free admission to all the exhibitions. Take part in the special art tours and talks, or join us at the Keppel Centre for Art Education for fun hands-on activities.
CHINESE NEW YEAR OPEN HOUSE
Usher in the year of the Rooster at the National Gallery Singapore! Enjoy a range of special activities or embark on a family trail to discover artworks that depict scenes from around Chinatown.
Visitors will also enjoy free admission to all galleries, including Artist and Empire: (En)countering Colonial Legacies presented in association with Tate Britain.

DROP-IN ACTIVITY: AROUND CHINATOWN
Get creative as a family through art-making and puzzle solving. Spend a relaxing time drawing or explore the Gallery with a fun activity sheet.
This January, discover artworks that depict scenes from around Chinatown! Then, take part in a family activity to map your own neighbourhood.
This activity is suitable for ages 4 and above.

STORIES IN ART: SHADOWS AND FIRE
Dive into a world of stories that bring artworks to life! Follow actors on a journey through the treasure trove of art in the UOB Southeast Asia Gallery.

ART EXPLORERS: SCULPT A FORM

MUSIC PERFORMANCES
RESONATES WITH
There’s no better way to begin the new year than with a host of feel-good performances. Delight in an eclectic mix of ethnic fusion pop music by the dynamic SBT Trio, classical music by the likes of Mozart and Crusell performed by Sparks Chamber Clarinet and rousing renditions of Chinese New Year festive tunes by your favourite local musicians.
Resonates With is a series featuring cross-genre collaborations between musical ensembles and contemporary musicians. The series is anchored by elements in the Gallery’s collections, architecture or building spaces that serve as catalysts for creative dialogue between musicians.
