CapitaLand launches ‘Decode the Emoji’ campaign at CapitaLand Malls on World Emoji Day to celebrate our love for these Unicode characters. From 17 July to 13 August, CapitaLand malls will turn into a giant Emoji escape game where shoppers can enjoy an immersive experience with their favourite emojis.

Escape Game Challenges
Featuring five interactive, multi-sensory escape games filled with encrypted puzzles and cleverly construed riddles laid by Cryptic Emoji, blaze through our challenges and help each of our classic fantasy tale protagonists complete their quests to a happily ever after ending. Take a walk into the woods and help Little Red Riding Hood get to her granny’s cottage while avoiding the treacherous wolves or help Aladdin free the Genie so that his heart’s wishes can come true. Scale the towering magical beanstalk into the home of the gentle Giant to find out the mess that Cryptic Emoji left behind. Finally, accompany Dorothy and her curious friends to take down the wicked Witch of the West to return home.

“Free the Genie” Escape Game
17 July- 23 July, 11am-9pm, Bugis +, Atrium, Level 2
Every turn is a surprise when you enter the treasure cave laden with puzzle traps laid by Cryptic Emoji that will obstruct your quest to free the Genie. Solve the puzzles in the escape game to free the Genie!

“The Lost Path” Escape Game
24 July- 30 July, 11am-9pm, J Cube #03-08, Opposite Nando’s
Cryptic Emoji’s puzzles are baffling Dorothy. Guide Dorothy and her friends on their quest to meet the Wizard and escape the clutches of the evil Witch of the West along the way!

“The Huntsman’s Horn” Escape Game
26 July- 1 August 11am-9pm Bedok Mall, B2, Atrium
Cryptic Emoji is luring Little Red Riding Hood the wrong way into the wolves’ den by paving the road with dainty flowers. Steer the distracted young lady on the right path to escape from the lurking danger and back to Grandma. Hide Grandma well and sound the Huntman’s Horn before it’s meal time for the hunger pack.

“The Giant Woes” Escape Game
31 July- 6 August, 11am-9pm, The Star Vista, The Star Plaza, B1
His head is up in the clouds but his heart is down and out. Help the gentle Giant regain his distraught friends as Cryptic Emoji displaces the Harp’s beautiful melodies and spooked the Golden Goose that she cannot lay golden eggs anymore. Fee Fi Fo Fum, crack the spell and help the Giant regain his distraught friends.

“The Emojinary Piper” Escape Game
7 August – 13 August, 6pm-11pm, Clarke Quay, Fountain Square
Tap to the beat, follow the lead. Begin your escape challenge from the Clarke Quay Fountain Square.




Redeem an entry to each escape game above with min. spend of $30 (max. 3 same-day receipts) at the respective mall. Each redemption allows for one adult and one child below 12 to enter the escape room once. Bike up to uncover an emoji-pulsating, immersive world across space and time at Raffles City. Come get active on a multi-sensory journey.

Mission Bingo: Play and Earn Rewards

To fully enjoy the “Decode the Emoji” interactive experience, shoppers can download an event-exclusive Mission Bingo in the CapitaStar app to win prizes as they complete each emoji mission. These range from completing the emoji escape games, emoji charades and augmented reality treasure hunt.
