There are 11 public holidays in Singapore out of which there will be five long weekends (with holidays falling on a Friday, Sunday or Monday) in 2024.

Two public holidays fall on a Friday:

• Good Friday (29 March 2024)
• National Day (9 August 2024)

Public holiday which falls on a Sunday:

• Second day of Chinese New Year (11 February)

Two holidays are falling on a Monday:

• New Year’s Day (1 January 2024)
• Hari Raya Haji (17 June 2024)^

Note: If a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be a designated public holiday.

The first and second days of Chinese New Year fall on Saturday and Sunday, hence the following Monday, 12 February 2024, will be a public holiday, forming a long weekend of three days.

The rest of the public holidays are:

• First Day of Chinese New Year (10 February)
• Hari Raya Puasa (10 April 2024)^
• Labour Day (1 May 2024)
• Vesak Day (22 May 2024)
• Deepavali (31 October 2024)^
• Christmas Day (25 December 2024)
