Celebrate Family Time At The National Family Festival 2024

Strengthening Families as a Collective Effort at Home, Work and Play Get ready to celebrate Family Time at the Families for Life’s (FFL) National Family Festival (NFF), happening from 25 May to 23 June! With the expansion of National Family Week 2023 to a month-long celebration this year, NFF 2024 will bring together individuals, families, corporates and community partners to celebrate the importance of family and encourage all to prioritise time for families.

Following the launch on 25 May, families can look forward to a wide array of activities spread across Singapore and even at home. Highlights include lively family carnivals at Singapore Expo Hall 2 and three heartland locations – One Punggol, Lot One Shopper’s Mall, and Bukit Canberra. Families can also look forward to brand new People Association’s PA Family PLAYGround at various heartlands, alongside promotions and activities offered by NFF partners. From exclusive NFF craft kits that will be disseminated to all preschools and primary schools, new family-centric events by social service agencies, to year-round marriage and parenting support programmes – there is bound to be something for all families.

Strengthening Bonds at Home, Work and Play

At Home, individuals can take active steps to enrich family life. This year, children in preschools and primary schools will receive NFF craft kits through their schools, adding to FFL’s range of family bonding resources. This initiative aims to promote creativity and quality family time as children and their families work together to create personalized crafts at home. Couples can embark on a journey of self-discovery and relationship enhancement through Our Marriage Journey Quiz and marriage enrichment courses. Parents (and grandparents) on the other hand, can acquire valuable techniques for nurturing a positive home environment and strengthening parent-child bonds through Purposeful Play and Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P).

At Work, NFF advocates family-friendly workplaces by encouraging companies to organise FFL programmes, celebrate NFF through corporate family days and align family days with time off for employees to celebrate NFF festivities.

Rockestra NParks

Recognising the importance of Play in strengthening family ties, NFF 2024 offers a variety of fun-filled activities and experiences for families to create lasting memories. With the new mega NFF Carnival at Singapore Expo Hall 2, look forward to an array of free workshops, food trucks, family challenges, a lively bazar and many more! Families with younger children can enjoy activities such as interactive trails at Mandai Wildlife Group’s Zoolympix, the return of Singapore Zoo’s signature holiday activity. This year Zoolympix rides on the excitement of the upcoming Olympics and comprises of interactive and educational trail around the park. National Parks Board will also be organising their signature “Rockestra” concert series at Fort Canning Park.
