Discover contemporary art and creative voices from across the globe

ART SG, presented by Founding and Lead Partner UBS, returns to Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre as Southeast Asia’s premier global contemporary art fair marking a defining moment in the fair’s evolution. For the first time, ART SG will co-host S.E.A. Focus, a curated, homegrown platform dedicated to Southeast Asian contemporary art, within the same venue. Taking place from 23 to 25 January 2026, with the Vernissage happening on 22 January, this landmark collaboration will bring together over 100 leading international galleries from more than 30 countries, offering visitors the opportunity to engage Southeast Asian perspectives in dialogue with global contemporary practice.

Building on the rich dialogues of ART SG and S.E.A. Focus, visitors can continue their journey of contemporary creativity through the ART SG FILM programme, Would You Tell Me a Story Until I Fall Asleep?, curated by X Zhu-Nowell, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, and presented in collaboration with ArtScience Museum.

Screening at ArtScience Museum’s ArtScience Cinema from 22 January to 1 February 2026, the programme presents a carefully curated selection of film and video works that transform the cinema into a quiet chamber of reflection, where images arrive slowly, attentively and intimately, inviting each visitor to encounter them in a deeply personal way. Film highlights include Smoke for Sonata by Samson Young, Rerooting, Rebooting by Lo Lai Lai Natalie and Time Travels with a Rotten Suitcase by Sim Chi Yin, among others. Adding a further dimension to this cinematic journey is Visions of the Future, a screening programme at ArtScience Cinema that imagines worlds shaped by memory, care and resilience. Through films that celebrate myth, ritual and storytelling, visitors are invited to envision alternative futures shaped by ancestral wisdom and indigenous knowledge. Returning with a refreshed lineup in January and February 2026, this thought-provoking series features works such as The Last Angel of History by John Akomfrah and Nhà Cây (The Tree House) by Minh Quy Truơng. ArtScience Museum will also offer a chance for visitors to peek into the future with NOX: Confessions of a Machine.

NOX Confessions of A Machine

From 23 January to 19 April 2026, visitors can discover a world where machines dream at NOX: Confessions of a Machine, a visionary site-specific solo exhibition by Lawrence Lek, and ArtScience Museum’s key programming for Singapore Art Week 2026. Making its Southeast Asian debut, this exhibition delves into the consciousness of machines and explores the architecture of a future smart city. Visitors are prompted to urgently reflect on the agency, ethics and empathy between humans and the thinking machines they create. For more information on the exhibition, please visit here.
