Experience the magic of the Singapore River Festival 2024, where this year’s theme, ‘Lights and Colours’, promises to be bigger and more dazzling than ever! From 4 to 13 October, the river will come to life with a spectacular display of light shows, music performances, and cultural celebrations, creating an unforgettable experience for all.
This year’s festival will feature a wide range of exciting events, including mesmerising light shows on iconic bridges, music performances on river cruises, pet-friendly activities, heritage games, and scenic night walks. Celebrating Singapore’s rich cultural heritage, the festival offers a perfect blend of food, entertainment, and history along the vibrant riverside districts of Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay.
Themed ‘River of Lights and Colours’, the festival showcases the city’s iconic heritage bridges through stunning light displays:
- Cavenagh Bridge lights up with Urban Pulse, a dynamic display celebrating Singapore’s vibrant city energy, with lights and music syncing to the rhythm of the bustling city.
- Read Bridge presents Eclectic Tapestry, capturing the vibrancy of Singapore’s food and entertainment culture through a captivating blend of lights and sounds.
- Alkaff Bridge transforms into a Tranquil Oasis with soothing light displays, reflecting the serenity of the nearby greenery and waters, offering a peaceful escape from the urban buzz.
Food lovers can indulge in the Singapore River Signatures (SRS), a culinary celebration highlighting the diverse and delicious food scene along the river. The festival offers food tours, workshops, and exclusive promotions, including the popular Taste of the Quays tour. Participants will savour local delights like Fu Lin’s Signature Yong Tau Foo, Rendezvous Hock Lock Kee’s Nasi Padang, and Dopa Dopa’s nut-based gelato. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities like decorating croissants at the artisanal Kwaasong Bakeshop.
