Gardens by the Bay turns five in 2017, and in celebration of this milestone year, festivities are lined up in the month of May and June. In the first weekend of June, the Supertree Grove will come alive with an exciting line-up of activities, including the show-stopping Gardens Extravaganza Special. A unique floral display, Blue Beauties, is now on at Flower Dome.

Gardens Extravaganza Special and other festivities

The first weekend of June sees a host of festivities in celebration of Gardens by the Bay’s fifth year, including a dazzling evening show, Gardens Extravaganza Special, taking place in the centre of the Supertree Grove.

In Gardens Extravaganza Special, aerial performers and dancers perform against a dramatic backdrop of video mapping on the towering Supertrees. This immersive show that will thrill the senses incorporates special effects to complement the projections on the Supertrees. The show culminates in pyrotechnics and a band of drones dancing across the night sky, coming together to create various formations.

There will also be other festivities taking place during this celebratory weekend, and visitors can look forward to a dance party, light installations, a roving parade, movie screening and food stalls.

For the rest of the month, there will be a Gardens Extravaganza video mapping show twice every night, where stunning projection mapping is the highlight.

Gardens Extravaganza Special
In this 30-minute evening showcase happening only on 3 and 4 June, aerial performers and dancers perform against a dramatic backdrop of video mapping on the towering Supertrees. The show culminates in pyrotechnics and a band of drones dancing across the night sky, coming together to create various formations.

Wonderlicious Bites
The Lawn at the Supertree Grove will be peppered with food stalls serving light bites.

Fun Zone
Play virtual reality games, or if feeling crafty, try your hand at 3D pen art, terrarium-making and more.

Parade of Wonder
Look out for roving dancers and percussionists, who will make their way around the Gardens! As the sky darkens, these performers will put up an energetic performance lit up by LED lights.

Reverie
A stroll along the Colonnade at the Supertree Grove is transformed into an immersive experience with whimsical installations, creative lights and video projections.

Illumination
The glow cast by eye-catching LED light dandelions illuminates the Supertree Grove and Golden Garden for an Instagram-worthy backdrop.

Dance Party
Boogie away at this outdoor dance party held in collaboration with ActiveSG.

Movie by the Lawn
Sit back, relax and enjoy the animated film Storks at the Lawn of the Supertree Grove.

Gardens Extravaganza
This special edition of the nightly Garden Rhapsody light and sound show is enhanced with stunning video mapping.

Blue Beauties floral display
In the year that Gardens by the Bay celebrates its fifth anniversary, a special colour in the Plant Kingdom takes centrestage in Flower Dome. Blue may seem ubiquitous in everyday life, but true spectrum blue is one of the most uncommon colours in plants. In the Blue Beauties floral display, flowers cherished for their vivid blue hues like agapanthus, hydrangeas and delphiniums flourish in a French-inspired garden. Set amidst a landscape dotted with a wall trellis, topiaries, a fountain and gazebo, these blue blooms will be complemented by the purple and pink tones of gladiolus, lupins and foxgloves
