Making its Singaporean debut, experience one of the most iconic exhibitions celebrating the creativity and powerful messages of the renowned anonymous street artist, Banksy
Exhibition production company Muse Marketing & Entertainment along with Events and leading entertainment discovery platform Fever are bringing The Art of Banksy: Without Limits, a unique exhibition where fans of the acclaimed and provocative British artist can experience his iconic works up close, to Singapore for the first time this December. The waitlist for tickets is now open.
Opening at 25 Scotts Road, the Singapore experience will build on the incredible recent success of the exhibition’s Australian tour, delighting hundreds of thousands of visitors along the way. With tours across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the U.S., over 2.1 million people now have experienced this thought-provoking exhibition worldwide, earning an average visitor rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars.
Custom-built to fit the unique Singapore venue spanning 1,200 sqm, The Art of Banksy: Without Limits includes several experiential areas and more than 170 of the artist’s works such as certified originals, prints, photos, lithographs, sculptures, murals, and video mapping installations specially created for this tour. The experience will allow an up-close perspective of some of Banksy’s most iconic artworks, authentically bringing the spirit of street art to the indoor exhibit.
Regarded as one of the most valuable and talked about artists of our time, Banksy’s popularity cannot be denied. Visitors can get insight into Banksy’s life and inspirations through uniquely presented works, promising and delivering an impressive must-see experience that celebrates and educates about his art.
Created specifically for the Singapore edition, the entrance of the exhibition will feature a Walled Off Hotel style lobby, drawing inspiration from Banksy’s 2017 boutique hotel exhibition of the same name. The original installation – considered a key piece of social commentary on the Israeli-Palestine Conflict – is known for having “the worst view of any hotel in the world”. Singaporeans will experience a piece of the wildly popular attraction without having to leave the city.
Additional exhibition highlights include “Dismaland” installations from Banksy’s 2015 pop-up Bemusement Park, prints of “Flower Thrower”, and the sculpture “Phone Booth”. Other surprises include a section dedicated to Banksy’s activism related to immigrants and a completely immersive “infinity room” addressing politics. Visitors are also invited to join the spirit of Banksy’s activism by spray painting their own T-shirt with a $2 donation to the M.V. Louise Michel organisation.
Kemal Gurkaynak, Managing Director of Muse Marketing and Entertainment said, “We are beyond excited to be bringing this museum-quality experience to Singapore for the first time and we’re certain that both locals and visitors alike will relish in Banksy’s ability to provoke, shock and even disturb society – all of which he does with great humour and poetry.”
“Banksy’s work unites people with ideas and values that can change the world for the better, and through The Art of Banksy: Without Limits, our mission is to present the truth about his art and to carry his powerful message into the world.”
The Art of Banksy: Without Limits successfully exhibited in multiple international cities including Sydney, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Berlin, Bucharest, Cluj, Budapest, Riyadh, Vienna, Warsaw, Seoul, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Chile, Seattle, Mexico City. The exhibition is famed for its unique installation in each location, ensuring a new and innovative experience for every visitor.
The Art of Banksy: Without Limits will open from 5 December 2024 at 25 Scotts Road Singapore, and ticket holders should allow 45-60 minutes to complete the experience.
