The Mint Museum of Toys, home to one of Singapore’s most treasured vintage toy collections, is proud to present the latest edition of its annual Pop-Up In The Museum – this year themed around diecast cars, collectible vehicle models, and F1 racing tracksets. Running from 23 August to 5 October 2025, the display promises to captivate diecast collectors, spark nostalgia in families, and thrill car lovers of all ages.
Curated in collaboration with Team Korei – organisers of the Singapore Diecast Expo 2025 (SGDE) – and HotWheels, the exhibition celebrates the artistry, history, and culture of miniature collectibles.
Highlights of the Diecast Display
Visitors will embark on a journey through the evolution of diecast toys, from their early 20th-century origins to the global icons of today, including Mattel’s Hot Wheels and Matchbox, alongside locally significant creations that reflect Singapore’s unique place in the hobby.
Among the rare highlights is a diecast car collection produced in Singapore in the 1980s under the brand “Mandarin”, as well as the very first Singapore-exclusive Hot Wheels convention car – a landmark moment for the local diecast scene.
Adding to the excitement, this year’s pop-up will feature multi-track play zones, inviting guests to relive the thrill of racing, test their skills, and create new memories with family and friends.
