Organised by The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) since 2010, NED honours the engineering profession while sparking curiosity among the next generation of changemakers.
This year’s theme, ‘Shaping the Future with Engineering Innovation’, reinforces Singapore’s position as a global-Asia innovation hub, where engineers are pioneering solutions for a smarter, more sustainable world.
So what’s in store at NED 2025?
● Insightful Talks: Be inspired by engineers who are building tomorrow’s world. Topics range from sustainable infrastructure to the future of aviation.
● Guided Tours: Explore the inner workings of Singapore’s engineering marvels including a smart port control centre, an eco-friendly bus depot, a state-of-the-art aircraft hangar and a future-focused digital innovation hub.
● IES Career Fair 2025: A major highlight of NED 2025, where students and early-career engineers gain direct access to potential employers, career guidance and hands-on exposure to emerging tech in fields like AI, robotics and sustainability. Discover where engineering can take you.
● Engineering Innovation Challenge (EIC): A cornerstone of NED’s mission, this initiative empowers students from secondary schools to universities to design innovative engineering solutions to real-world challenges. Through mentorship, prototyping and hands-on problem-solving, participants gain valuable exposure to the engineering process. Winning teams will be recognised at the prize presentation ceremony on the final day of NED.
