Mandai Wildlife Group is wild about Singapore, especially as the nation celebrates 60 years of independence. A series of special offers, new wildlife experiences and community activities are being launched under the Mandai is Wild about SG initiative to encourage local residents to make new memories together at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve as part of nationwide celebrations.

Belina Lee, Deputy CEO, Transformation and Growth, Mandai Wildlife Group, said, “The Mandai Wildlife Reserve has been woven into Singapore’s story for over six decades – from school excursions and weekend family outings to first dates. With Mandai is Wild about SG, we invite local residents to reconnect with our destination through newly launched experiences and special offerings. Whether it’s enjoying SG60 admission discounts, meeting beloved animal ambassadors like the penguins and capybara, or getting to know the animals born here and are now part of our growing wildlife family, there’s always a reason to visit. We are also fostering inclusivity by bringing together businesses and underserved communities, providing opportunities for all to experience nature. We hope this destination continues to be a special place that provides a window into the wild, and where memories are made for generations to come.”

To mark SG60, Mandai Wildlife Group will roll out a series of celebratory offers, starting with these special bundle deals in June.

Adding to the festivities, Hello from the Wild starts from 7 June 2025, with 20-minute experiences offering intimate, up-close encounters with the gentle capybara at River Wonders, as well as the playful fennec foxes and ring-tailed lemurs at Singapore Zoo. During these sessions, participants will gain insights into the animals’ characteristics and unique traits from their trainers, while learning about Mandai Wildlife Group’s commitment to animal care and welfare. The experience includes hands-on activities ranging from feeding the animals to preparing enrichment activities that keep them mentally and physically stimulated, such as hiding superworms under pebbles for the fennec foxes to forage. Participants will also try their hand at conditioning, a positive reinforcement training technique that encourages animals to voluntarily exhibit certain behaviours in exchange for treats or other rewards. This approach ensures that animal interactions are both safe and respectful, prioritising their well-being and choice to participate.

Guests can also enjoy complimentary access to curated digital itineraries during their visit. Complete the trail to earn a limited-edition SG60 memento. First-time guests or those unsure of where to begin can explore the Too Wild to Miss itineraries, which guide them through the best of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve from iconic experiences like the world’s first free-ranging orangutan exhibit at Singapore Zoo to the newly launched Pangolin Trail at Night Safari. Along the way, guests will encounter a series of nostalgic photo points – each celebrating iconic milestones in the precinct’s history, such as the birth of Singapore’s first giant panda cub, Le Le. These spots invite them to reflect on these heartwarming moments as they create new memories for years to come. Guests can access the Too Wild to Miss itineraries via here.

Also not to be missed is the return of Wild Day Out, Mandai Wildlife West’s signature community event, set to return on 28 and 29 June 2025. The event will feature local themes and creative activities in collaboration with The Artground. Families can look forward to playing the nostalgic Five Stones, crafting orchid postcards inspired by Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim, and other immersive activities inspired by nature and wildlife. Furkids are welcome to join in the fun too, as the publicly accessible Mandai Wildlife West is dog-friendly!

A focus of the Mandai is Wild About SG initiative is to ensure the destination remains an inclusive, welcoming space where everyone can connect with nature and share meaningful experiences. Beyond celebratory offers and new wildlife experiences, Mandai Wildlife Group is deepening its support to provide complimentary access for social service agencies (SSAs) and their beneficiaries. Through a partnership with Young Business Leaders Network (YBLN), companies and local SMEs are being engaged to bring their adopted charities to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. This effort will extend to the wider business community, fostering a compassionate network of partners committed to uplifting underserved groups through shared acts of care and kindness.

Organisations are invited to contribute in meaningful ways, whether by volunteering their time or by helping to arrange meals, transportation, or other support to make visits memorable for beneficiaries. To commemorate SG60, the initiative aims to connect at least 60 organisations with 60 SSAs to create a ripple effect that spreads the joy of nature and wildlife across Singapore.

Guests can look forward to more programmes and promotions throughout the year under Mandai is Wild about SG, offering even more reasons to visit and revisit the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. For more information and updates on SG60 activities, please here.
