Schooling – Out of the pool, and back to school
The bank’s latest social initiative sees them partnering with Singapore’s golden boy, Olympic champion Joseph Schooling, to be part of a new web series: ‘Schooling On Schooling’.
In the series, Joseph Schooling joins different groups of precocious schoolchildren to answer questions submitted by the POSB Smart Buddy Parents community.
Across five webisodes, ‘Schooling On Schooling’ will cover everything from staying fit to bullying and money management – essentially real-life situations that kids face on a daily basis in school, and how they can learn to manage, and grow, through these experiences.
Speaking on the experience he had making the series, Joseph Schooling commented:
“Working on this web series was a lot of fun and I enjoyed interacting with the children. Hopefully, they went away with useful tips on how to deal with situations they will inadvertently come across as they grow and mature.”
Lim Bee Bee, Head of Marketing, Consumer Banking Group Singapore, DBS Bank, said, “At the heart of the POSB Smart Buddy Programme is our genuine desire to play a part, however small, in helping children of today navigate an increasingly complex future.”
