Monstrous Fun! 2025 returns this June Holidays at The Arts House

Get ready to stomp, scribble, sing, and imagine your way into the June school holidays! Monstrous Fun! is back – and this time, it’s bolder and beastlier than ever.

Monstrous Fun The Arts House

From 30 May to 1 June 2025, families can look forward to three jam-packed days of playful, creative adventures at Monstrous Fun!, part of Civic District Children’s Season 2025. Organised by Arts House Limited (AHL), the event transforms The Arts House at The Old Parliament into a wonderland of literary discovery and hands-on fun for children aged five and up.

As part of its efforts to engage the community, AHL is partnering with ArtBeatz for Monstrous Fun! and collaborating with School of the Arts (SOTA) for this year’s Monster Hunt activity.

Families heading down to The Arts House for Monstrous Fun! also have the rare chance to round off their arts weekend with a visit to Little SIFA, the Singapore International Festival of Arts’ dedicated space for young hearts and curious minds, at Empress Lawn in front of Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall.

Monster Parade (NEW!)

Join Singapore’s first-ever Monster Parade through the Civic District! Families are invited to dress up in monstrously marvellous outfits, bring handmade instruments, and march alongside resident monster Britney.

Jazz legend Louis Soliano live

Cultural Medallion recipient Louis Soliano brings rhythm and imagination to life in a Drum-A-Story workshop and a new digital programme Rhythmic Exploration with Louis Soliano.

Interactive musical performance (NEW COMMISSION)

Participants get a hands-on experience creating a music piece as they bop along to the beat in Bimbang and the Curios Trunk, a performance inspired by Southeast Asian tales, presented by syncretic music ensemble Open Score Project (OSP).

Crack clues and uncover hidden corners of The Arts House in this collaborative treasure hunt with the creative minds from School of the Arts (SOTA).
