In support of Kindness Day SG 2026, ELFA Preschool launched an originally composed Mandarin rap video aimed at teaching preschoolers the importance of kindness through simple, everyday actions, in a catchy manner.
Created especially for young children by ELFA children, the upbeat rap video combines catchy Mandarin lyrics and music to show how acts of kindness can be practised naturally at home, in school, and within the community. ELFA children aim to spread the joy of being kindness to more children, alongside helping them to build confidence in language and learn the values behind it.
This initiative echos ELFA Preschool’s strong emphasis on character development and moral values as part of its bilingual curriculum. It is also a part of how ELFA Preschool promotes kindness through Chinese language learning and storytelling. Inspired by the teachings of Di Zi Gui (弟子规), a classic Chinese literature on respect and good conduct, the video demonstrates how everyday graciousness can be nurtured meaningfully from a young age.
ELFA Preschools Cluster Head, Patricia Tay: ‘We wanted children to see that kindness can be simple, joyful, and part of their everyday lives. Through this music video created and own by our children, they not only learn positive values, but also feel proud expressing them in Mandarin.’
