Located on the West Lawn at Gardens by the Bay, the padel courts create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to stay active, connect with one another and embrace one of the world’s fastest-growing sports against the spectacular backdrop of Singapore’s iconic Supertrees.

UBS presents the inaugural Padel at the Gardens, in collaboration with Gardens by the Bay as program partner. Padel at the Gardens – the first padel event of its kind in Singapore, is the latest stop in UBS’s regional Padel Series, which brings one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to iconic landmarks across Asia Pacific. Located on the West Lawn at Gardens by the Bay, the new custom-built padel courts transform the space into a vibrant hub for padel from September to October, creating a padel community for people of all ages, and all levels of sporting ability to connect through the sport. At the official court opening ceremony today, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS) of the Ministry of Education & Ministry of National Development, Syed Harun Alhabsyi joined community participants for a friendly game of padel, highlighting the sport’s unique ability to bring together people.
UBS and Gardens by the Bay are delighted to bring this landmark sporting experience to the Singapore community, with open play sessions and complimentary public court bookings from 19 September to 11 October. Bookings will be made available from 8:00 a.m. SGT on 19 September on a first-come, first-served basis with padel equipment available for rental.

Conrad Huber, Managing Director at UBS Global Wealth Management, said: “We are thrilled to bring padel to Singapore’s iconic Gardens by the Bay, creating a welcoming space where sport, nature and community can come together and flourish. As part of UBS’s Craft of Sport initiative, Padel at the Gardens reflects our belief that sport is a powerful catalyst for connection. Through sport, we celebrate the values of dedication, discipline and perseverance, qualities that support healthy, active and fulfilling lives. By creating this shared public space, we hope to create meaningful opportunities for people to connect through shared passions, while supporting our broader commitment to promoting longevity, health and wellbeing in the communities where we live and work.”
Mr Ong Kian Ann, Gardens by the Bay Chief Operations Officer, said, “Sporting events bring the community together, and this is a vital part of what we do at Gardens by the Bay. As the People’s Garden, we have a lively, year-round calendar of community events for people to gather and bond amidst nature. We are delighted to partner with UBS to bring its renowned Craft of Sport experience to Singapore and introduce padel to our local community. Set against the backdrop of the Supertrees, this collaboration opens up the fast-growing sport to a wider audience, giving more people the chance to experience it for themselves.”
Inspired by the UBS Craft of Sport, Padel at the Gardens is part of the regional UBS Padel Series which brings padel to some of Asia Pacific’s most iconic landmarks. Located at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, Padel at the Gardens follows Padel Central in Hong Kong, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Victoria Harbour, and Australia’s Padel Invitational, which transformed the Sydney Opera House into a world-class sporting arena. Rooted in the belief that sport, like any craft, is shaped by dedication, discipline and the pursuit of excellence, the series transforms renowned landmarks into distinctive sporting experiences that creates opportunities for communities to connect through a shared love of sport in unique and memorable settings.
As a firm that has been part of Singapore’s growth story for more than 60 years, UBS is deeply committed to contributing positively to the communities where we live and work. Through the legacy of UBS Craft of Sport, we have brought together local talent and world-class athletes. This includes curating an exclusive roundtable with George Russell, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Driver and UBS Global Brand Ambassador, to inspire aspiring young racing talents in Singapore; a golf clinic with Masters champion Sergio Garcia for young golf talent; and bringing football legend Thierry Henry together with young footballers in Singapore. The launch of Padel at the Gardens is the latest expression of this commitment, creating an inclusive space where nature and communities can come together to discover a fast-growing global sport, and embrace healthier, more connected lives.
