Snow City elevates its signature winter wonderland experience with real snowfall, a new Glacier Luge and an extended ice gallery

Snow City Glacier Luge

Snow City Singapore, Singapore’s first indoor snow centre, today unveiled its newly revamped attractions featuring four one-of-a-kind adventure zones. Visitors can now experience real snow in Singapore for the very first time, alongside icy thrill rides and a fun photo-worthy gallery filled with interactive play.

Making the launch even more memorable was the award ceremony held to certify the centre’s new three-storey, 120-metre Glacier Luge by the Singapore Book of Records. The ride is Snow City’s thirteenth creation to set a record, with a notable mention for Singapore’s first bumper car arena on ice.

The new attractions were developed over 2.5 months, with an investment of S$1.2 million and a total of 1,300 ice blocks used for the renovation.

At the newly renovated Snow City, these four adventure zones offer exclusive sub-zero fun, adventure and edutainment set in a winter wonderland to regulars and newcomers alike.

1. The Rainbow Frosty Playground: This extended 30-metre-long gallery features stunning interactive displays made entirely of solid coloured ice blocks. Carved from real ice in collaboration with Shenhu Ice Singapore Pte. Ltd, visitors can engage with play elements made of coloured ice such as a train, slide, and golf. They can also look forward to photo opportunities at this vibrant space, with sculptures of a racing car and ice cream wall, as well as an educational chef’s house and ice fairy garden.

2. The Glacier Rush: Built next to the original 60-metre slide down a snowy hill, visitors above the age of seven can expect another great rush of adrenaline on the new 120-metre-long majestic ice Glacier Luge, officially awarded and recognized by the Singapore Book of Records on 24 October. Built in partnership with Shenhu Ice Singapore Pte. Ltd, this glowing ice sculpture features breathtaking twist and turns for every member of the family.

3. The Snow Village: Inspired by the stunning beauty of the Alps, visitors can enjoy soft, real snowfall. Children can explore a mini-ice maze and play in the snowy field, letting their imaginations soar, building snowmen and creating their own winter wonderland.

4. Drift on Ice Arena: Visitors can continue to visit Singapore’s only bumper car arena on ice, which is also certified by the Singapore Book of Records.

“We are constantly innovating to capture the magic and wonder of the winter wonderland experience for visitors across all ages. With advancements in technology, we have made our vision for what was initially impossible years ago come to life,” said Mr. Norazani Shaiddin, General Manager of Snow City Singapore. “These enhancements not only celebrate the legacy we’ve built over the years but also set the stage for a world-class edutainment experience on ice for those living and visiting tropical Singapore.”

Snow City has brought winter to the tropics for millions over its 24-year history, fostering fond memories for those of all ages.

These attractions are now open to the public, and tickets to the newly revamped Snow City Singapore are available for purchase via Klook, Fever, Pelago and here.
