The vibrant Children’s Carnival invites families and children of all ages to dive into a full day of engaging activities to discover art in the most exciting ways.
National Gallery Singapore is thrilled to present its first-ever Children’s Carnival, a one-day event on 1 November 2025, 11am – 6pm, as part of the Gallery Children’s Biennale 2025. Get ready for a day of fun, laughter and imagination with an exciting and vibrant line-up of programmes designed to spark joy, ignite curiosity, and unleash the inner artist in every child!
We invite everyone to put on their dancing shoes with a silent disco created especially for kids, participate in interactive workshops where children can collaborate with their parent or caregiver on creating photography and painting pieces, catch lively performances such as a playful circus show and roving dance performances, and many other engaging programmes throughout the day. This joyful event invites young explorers and their families to discover new ways to express themselves and reimagine the endless possibilities that art can bring.

As children journey through various programmes, they can explore the Gallery Children’s Biennale eight artworks and collect station stamps to redeem a complimentary GCB themed tote bag as cheerful keepsake, with exclusive items such as a cookie pack, an Impressionism themed postcard for the upcoming exhibition Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston opening on 14 November 2025, and a GCB sticker pack. Adding a delicious touch, there will also be a free milk bar presented by Oatside for the young ones to recharge between their creative adventures.

Join in for an imaginative painting workshop Off World: Painting Workshop led by ZERO, an experienced street artist and art educator in Singapore. Aspiring photographers between the ages of 3 to 12 years old can hone their photography and storytelling abilities at the Photography Workshop led by artist and photographer Ng Hui Hsien. With a Polaroid camera and 10 instant films in hand, our participants will become photojournalists, working together to document the Gallery Children’s Biennale artworks from their own unique perspectives. Children will experience how to craft visual narratives that reflect their individuality, fostering self-expression and offering a fresh lens through which they can see the world.
Get ready to shop ’til you drop at the Children’s Craft Fair! This is not just any regular art market, the fair co-organised by Little U is crafted by children, for children! Little entrepreneurs take charge of this market, from designing and creating amazing handmade goods to pricing, marketing, and selling them, instilling independence and entrepreneurial skills while honing their arts and craft skills. Come support these future entrepreneurs at the market! Proceeds generated from the sales will go towards the next edition of the Gallery Children’s Biennale.
